I live in US and I get ping a 180 to 300 on NA server. But when play on JP server have only ping of 100. Makes no since to me why get better ping in country across the ocean. Than one 3 states away.

That should tell you more about the quality of network infrastructure in the US than anything else.

Well... technically this is still our problem, sadly. Not like they will open a new DC somewhere in Kazan just because I, and all Russian players, don't have perfect ping anywhere on recent servers (we don't have perfect ping even in our own games though but that's another story). And not like they will change battle system because of this, when game itself is already more or less forgiving to high ping if you know how to deal with it. We actually need to look at new charging system in 5.0. It can resolve at least little part of this issue.

Except they, unfortunately, don't have a choice in the matter. Whereas OP has stated they're an EU player connecting to NA servers. A choice they can make but refuse to do so.

It's kinda like saying Russia and the States are on the same "continent", just because they are close.

I'm aware, hence why I used quotes when saying "continent". Your Russia/US comparison is a bit too hyperbolic though, that distance is more than double the space between Australia and New Zealand.

Look again, at the distance between Alaska (Part of the States) and Russia. It's actually way smaller than the distance between NZ and Aus. I was actually being a bit conservative there. XD
Distance between Russia and Alaska: 55miles at the Bering Strait.
Distance between New Zealand and Australia: Around 926 miles apparently.

And that's not counting the two islands in the Bering strait, one belonging to Russia and the other to the States, which are just over 2 miles apart.
If you count the closest islands belonging to NZ and Aus, it's 383 miles. Which is still a fair distance.

2) Other people only hit 5 uses of skills during these windows BECAUSE they stack SkS, even without any ping. Why are you trying to do it without any?

3) Holy Spirit has a 1.5s cast meaning the last one hits after 1.5s, not 2.5. Meaning 5x Holy Spirit takes 2.5 + 2.5 + 2.5 + 2.5 + 1.5 = 11.5 seconds (This will decrease to 10 seconds in ShB when it becomes instant cast)

4) Paladin most certainly does have access to SpS. Quicktongue materia isn't job locked.
