If you were the tank and decided to pull everything (and stay and fight) I would just keep walking and let you solo fight the adds, while me and the rest of the group go through the teleporters.

3 friends and I did the Ghimlyt Dark without a healer, so I'm sure Praetorium would be more than doable without a tank since things hit like wet noodles in there. I've also tanked Kugane Castle on BRD so. I'm not particularly worried.

Well, yes, when everything is completed in the game, you can not worry about others.

I mean there's two tanks in the MSQ dungeons and the strat for Prae is legit to have one tank hold aggro while everyone else goes through the teleporters, so...

There are two tanks in this instance.

That being said, we already told you how to experience the game the way you want to. For future dungeons, create a group on minimal gear etc, so you can really experience the whole thing slowly.

If you say many other players wish it was harder to do Castrum and Praetorium, I'm sure many would join you.

To be fair you can pretty much do those without a tank too.

I still have fond memories of one Toto-rak run where we ended up with a bot tank. The bot was programmed to just run forward on a set path and attack things. It never generated aggro. It never did anything. It just ran forward and attacked... You can see where this is going to go by this point. So we made due with what we had. I was on ARC and my friend pointed out that since trying to communicate with the bot was going to end in failure and because it wasn't giving us space to kick it (we might have also just forgotten we could do that, it was a long time ago and that part is fuzzy when I try to recall it), we should just power through and have me summon topaz carbuncle for the remainder of the dungeon. And it /worked/. The last boss was a little messy thanks to the bot, but topaz carbuncle mostly kept aggro on the second attempt while the bot ran against the boss room barrier due to having pathed all the way back to the boss manually while the rest of us teleported after the first wipe. I've never been so proud of that little carbuncle.
