You dotn even get your moogle tomes from Satasha it's tam tara. and a few others. After we finally completed the Hilli-questline yesterday, I have access to the mentor roulette again and am bored enough with the game, my cross stitching and life in general to go for some!
The latest one put me into Sastasha (a damn week early for the moggle-tomestones...!) with a new tank, as in: someone new to tanking, a lancer and a smn. The tank goes ahead and pulls all the bats they can find and I sigh a little - okay, this is one of the tanks that have picked up "pull as much as you can without thinking about it at all", because if they had thought about it, they'd realised that no job has any AoE in Sastasha, making big pulls pretty useless at best and at worst actually making your scholar cast a physick! I consider saying something, but brush it off as "You're way to perfectionistic when it comes to tanking and yo... Selene can heal this easly, so who cares?"
Apparently the new tank, who offers to pull even more in chat, but... doesnt when I now explain the AoE-thing to him.
All in all a nice run.
Considering it was Sastasha.
And that I didnt get any moogle-tomes because its not the 30th yet.
"Sometimes I wonder I heal for fun. or if I heal because I'm a glutton for punishment."

Yeah... 9 out of 10 Bards I give sight to just Repelling Shot away and then run more for good measure. Same with Red Mages... And actually all ranged DPS in general. Except if a Black Mage has parked their Leylines near the boss, that's a bit more reliable.Well, I sometimes don't even bother putting dragon sight on a ranged dps partner, because what feels like the majority of the time they just walk away from it. It's just safer to just put it on the tank who you know will always be standing in range. Especially in raids. It's also quicker to just put it on the tank by reflex rather than look over the area to see who is where. That's just me though.
I do still give the ranged DPS two chances to benefit from a tether. But if you're not in range for it when I'm trying to do it, or run away when it connects, both times: on the tank it goes for the rest of the run. Or a White Mage, in trash pulls.
Honestly, the first time anybody did that to me I had no idea what it was. I thought it was one of those chains that you have to break before it blows up.Well, I sometimes don't even bother putting dragon sight on a ranged dps partner, because what feels like the majority of the time they just walk away from it. Did leveling roulette with my fiancee recently, we got Ifrit normal. The tank was a new player so we were in the circle for a while. Other DPS tells Selli that her glamour is "okay, but could be better" and suggested a different glamour for her. Selli has had basically the same healer glamour since HW so she just replied with, "I've been using this set for a few years, I still really like it. Thanks anyway." They didn't reply, we killed Ifrit, Selli and I said our goodbyes and as we were about to leave the DPS says, "You're a c**t."
I actually forgot about this incident, but today before the Live Letter, Selli did Normal Raid roulette and something similar happened. I wasn't present for this one, but someone in that party also suggested she change her healer glamour. She said they didn't say anything else other than that statement. Still weird.
Is...glamour shaming a thing now?
For reference, I'll include a picture of her healer glamour

I hope it isn't a thing. If I wasn't wearing mismatched stuff right now, I'd probably be glamming the sky pirate mad max set, and be a prime target. Lol! Her set looks fine. No idea what it would trigger in people since half the time I see people running around in skin coloured clothes or bikinis.Did leveling roulette with my fiancee recently, we got Ifrit normal. Out of all the really far-out glam combination and setups...this is what broke the camel's back? /headscratch
Healing DRK is literally... the same since ShB. The reason why people think it's a meme to heal nowadays because DRK receives very little to no buff to their sustainability vs 3 other tanks getting something useful. If you're capable of healing DRK back in ShB (or any tanks), then you'll heal EW DRK just fine.

As a drg main, I fully understand. However, if a bard is literally standing right next to you the whole time, its prolly bc they want the tether or its a sign that they will stay next to you for the tether. Also, i have multiple macros for different cases So I dunno, the combonation of not doing chaos combo and selecting the tank just irritates me. Partially bc I can see what they are doing wrong, and two they do nothing to fix it. No tether is just an added bonus. Then again I've seen runs where not one dragon sight is used. Its just a complaint is all. /shrugWell, I sometimes don't even bother putting dragon sight on a ranged dps partner, because what feels like the majority of the time they just walk away from it. I'm not one to really worry about my glamour either. She really likes that sort of stuff and puts effort into it, that's why we're so confused, lol.
I can understand thinking its outdated because most of it came out in HW, but I don't think that really counts as ugly.
Thank you. I will let her know, I'm sure she'll appreciate hearing that.

I've seen that so many times! They are probably thinking that exact statement. I put the tether on them and they run away from me as far as they can. Like I've infected them with something!
For sure. If the other DPS in a dungeon noticeably stays consistently in close enough range to me, I'll give them a tether. It just gets really annoying sometimes. As a drg main, I fully understand.
