Female Hrothgar as a playable race. Show your support!

In a perfect world SE would just use the two clans of each reach to give people what they want. One clan being more smaller, with less muscle but still beastly and the others could be like female Roes in built. The same how they could have given the Xaela women a bigger built..but sadly these clans are nothing more than color changes..

I guess adding unpopular options for the sake of variety is only important when it matches Yoshi-P's preferences. Can't wait to get more dainty waifus and musclemen in 6.0 :/

I like how we all like to call Viera as being strong and fierce when the majority won't play them as such and would play them like dainty waifus anyways. Lingerie racial gear doesn't really sell fierce/tough either.

People will play their Viera all sorts of ways. I'd not draw too many conclusions out of the glamour they then choose


I would like to see Hrothgar females. I think it's more important for the game than Viera males. As far as conceptual representation is concerned male Viera is just another human with funny ears.

But Hrothgar is actually only the second race this game has had.

And in that light... that this game actually only has two races: humans with ear/tail options and a furry... having one of the ONLY two races in FFXIV be gender locked is bad.

As far as I heard this part of the sentence was only in the english version of it, not the japanese one. So not sure how accurate this is...but at the same time I honestly would not be shocked if they do the Au Ra thing again..but of course that would piss me off a bit too..

If the dev team does add female Hrothgar down the line, I'm hoping their customization would allow you to make a regal looking cat lady.

well its not happening and if it does its not gonna happen any time soon. SE made the right call and its the best decision so this is nothing more than a dream thread. but lets move on and keep adding things this game actually needs like that combat overhaul

You have no idea what their plans are in regards to this. They never said no, they just left it up in the air to temper expectations. As far as them making the right call...that's a matter of opinion. Also fun fact, there is going to be some confirmed combat system changes. What they are we don't know yet, but they are coming.

XD thanks for giving us your input on how you seem to know exactly what and how SE is going to do. I must remind you that male miqote were also 'likely not going t happen' and also 'if they happen it will be in the future, or as an NPC', and it seems like your character is one of them. Out of all ppl, male miqotes and female roes should at least not be rude and use that aggressive tone

They literally know just as much as everyone else. Close to nothing. We only know that right now they aren't here, but they could be released at 5.1, 6.0, 7.0, 8.0 or literally never ever released. No one has any idea

I mean, if your concern is about the combat overhaul wouldn't it be best to discuss that in a thread where that's the designated topic? I'm aware of SE's statement on adding new races and I don't expect them anytime soon or at all even considering they didn't give a firm "No" and just left it up in the air. But this is a thread showing support for the inclusion of the other gender, not about the combat changes.
