When the game's story becomes self-aware:
Assuming that I got what I wanted is all your assumption. As for an official statement, they've already given one. The letter from the producer went over that fairly in depth. They said that they are in no way promising the opposite genders, but if they can find their way around several issues holding them back from creating them, they may consider it. That's all you're gonna get since that was released like a week or two ago. There's nothing else to say.Yes there is. People are still waiting to know if they will be able to play this new races in the gender they wanted. I just don't get why there's so much ppl that's so quick to tell someone that they are wrong and will never get something because hey themselves already got what they want. Bet if hrotgar was female only and Viera male only all the ppl insulting us would be the ones complaining and I bet they'd appreciate respect
Well, I don't really expect them to say anything until 5.1,but I can always hope they'd do so.Eh, like theoderic said there was already an official statement, you might get an off-handed comment from yoshida maybe but I doubt they'll set any time away during the live letter to discuss genderlocks, and if I'm being honest I'd rather they not. I want to learn everything I can about gunbreaker and the machinist changes for what little time we're getting during the live letter. That doesn't mean I don't want them to address the issue with fitting gear to models, I just think it'll be awhile before we get any sort of update to that effect on anything about the missing genders. This is something that'll take a lot of patience probably, I wouldn't expect a response unless it's being directly asked during fan festivals.
Here's the official letter from Yoshi P.

I have read that letter at least 10 times. Their "awnser" Is: no male Viera or female hrotgar at shadowbringers launch. Maybe some time in the future (that sometime in the future is 6.0-x.x). We won't make promises on neither yes or no. At JP they said they won't make any promises. Please tell me how that is a different responseHere's the official letter from Yoshi P.

I don't need female Hrothgar considering the female Au Ra debacle (and yes, that's what I consider it to be). You think you're gonna get a feral, beast-type woman? It's almost a guarantee that they'd look far more humanoid than their male counterparts, and might not even have fur like Miqo'te. It would be some sexualized Viera clone but as a kitty... but we already have the Miqo'te so I dunno. I'd kill for something like the Vah Shir in this game, or hell I still want the concent Au Ra women, a tall female beast race that are intimidating and not sultry.
I mean I'm still going to make a bunny but only because the Au Ra females are so off-putting (I include the emotes too).
As much as I prefer the voidsent-inspired concept art in the Heavensward book, I still think the doll lizards are lovely and well-made. Not off-putting at all. I also really doubt SQX would go for extreme dimorphism again when the entire reason behind adding Hrothgar was to appeal to a non-existing niche. Their female counterpart is likely to follow in same suit. Personally? I'd love it if they looked like this often circulated art; strong, but sensuous, like a proper amazon.I don't need female Hrothgar considering the female Au Ra debacle (and yes, that's what I consider it to be). It's not, so why do you want to hear the response again? That's all they're going to say at this time. I highly doubt anything has changed at this point in time.I have read that letter at least 10 times. Their "awnser" Is: no male Viera or female hrotgar at shadowbringers launch. They shouldn't have gone that route to begin with, considering it's never been done in any other race. And I'm with the few who wanted the original style rather than the new anime waifu version. I hate it. I know I'm in the minority as I see a billion of them running around, but it isn't another race that came and I'm still waiting, it's the race I wanted that is now ruined. What should I ask for, another dragon-race of women? We're not likely to get that, and we have FF12 Viera and not Tactics (well, I consider them to be different) and Dancer is DPS, I'm already pissed enough. I can run a dozen dungeons and be the only Roe in sight, but half-naked cats and waifus are all over the place.
While I might have to settle for female Hrothgar if we ever get them, it just seems like wasted potential, and I still think they might be the way you showed, pretty and more human-looking than their male counterparts, also shorter and less muscular. Y'know because women are weaker and smaller, apparently. Why can't my Roe be jacked like the men? I know, again I'm in the minority, and from business or success standpoint it makes sense to make the greatest number of people happy, but I'm rarely in that group it seems.
