


It probably has more to do with QA testing.It's not quite automatic but the skeletons and meshes are designed together in such a manner that morphing is not near as labor intensive as Yoshi-p makes it. I'm not sure why it is for FFXIV -- neither the armor or the animations are very complex and frankly a lot of the armor is iterative.
