If I took that as a Job design suggestion I would agree with it in a caveat:

they should merge Flash with Total Eclipse.

Got Lakshmi last night for my "trial". First try: both healers just get gobsmacked by AOE's. Standing next to each other with the flower over them and blam.. dead. Revived by a RDM they quickly die again to the other cross AOE.
After limping along for a bit on RDM heals we wipe.

2nd try They explain this is the first time they've done this and after explaining the mechanics it goes a little better but they're now dying to Vril mechanics. Again we wipe and have a little pow-wow on mechanics. They both say they've got it now.

3RD try. Notice our 2 BLM dps are constantly dying over and over again during the gather.. Recognize Shire gear on both of them. Do an inspect and they are clad head to toe in level 60 gear. Healers are apparently also dealing with res-ing these guys while trying to heal AND deal with mechanics that are new to them.

limping through the rest we finally down the trial and I suggest the BLMS gear up before trying to do this content again. I get the response: "I have 70 gear already".

me: "so why aren't you wearing it?"

sometimes i dont understand people (iam sorry) logic, i really cant.

just did gubal library and this beansprout drg has no idea what to do with the blue tether, all of us told him any possible guide "go past the boss" "bring it to the boss" "the light need to touch the boss", we even show him how to do when the tank get the tether, but he just... dont get it. everytime he get tether he either keep circling the boss like he scared to touch the boss, or just run as far as he can get.

this keep going for almost 30 minutes!!!!, yes 30 minutes for brain dead easy mechanic, what so hard with get tether run through the boss so the light hit the boss? and best part? he still dont get it!!! how? we finally beat it after the tank whisp me to let the drg die so the other can get the tether.

then final boss, get marker? stay near boss, void summon circle? keep dps the bosss. thankfully this one can still be done with 3 of us so in the end the boss die.

i can understand why some of my guildy avoid DF levelling now

Yanno how you have to attack the turtle and get it down to about 45% hp before the fire sprite spawns so you can kill that, get the fire sprite core, and light the herb patch with the fire sprite core?

The tank didn't want us to attack the turtle -at all-. Told us to stop as we get rid of the adds and start in on it. We continue because... the fire sprite won't spawn... unless the turtle is weakened, aka at lower health...

...And at the end the tank says, and I quote, "now you no how too do it spead the tactics".

But... you have to attack it... to get the... sprite to spawn, I... I... why is this happening to me...

Yesterday, I've met not only my "favourite" kind of players from a country which has one of the worst players attitude-wise: Germans.
Yes, I refused many FC invitations when they are German - my own countrymen and being German myself! Another fun fact: They were from Lich, the server I spent 2.5 years at and eventually fled from for good.

It was the long Castrum run with the 2:5 relation of playing and watching cutscenes. For a long time, I finally see another Lalafell, a female Scholar. Started to get a bit into chat with her and suddenly, three people from Lich started to bash on us. The usual stuff. Potatoes and all that, ya ya, very funny. The Scholar took it easy while being a bit nasty to them but all was fine, it was still banter.

But I could feel from my nine (!) years of League of Legends when you are with a bunch o' kids. So as their provocations unfold, I just told them that I am basically too old for that (and their really lame "diss" attempts). Some ad hominem attacks followed, but all on such kindergarden level that made you cringe inside. However, it was obvious these at least three people were together and my alarm bells rang: I will be votekicked by them - "because they can". The typical Turkish-German kiddy-gang behaviour that was already there when I still went to school.

They kept on talking bullshit for a while, like in shifts one of these trolls would spit out absolutely generic "flames" that make you think they have it written on a sticky not on their monitor's case . On my "I am too old for that" they came up with "He is "too old" but plays a child [Lalafell]" and I could hardly understand what they were even talking with their bad English, and that I am apparently "triggered" said guy 1, "triggered" said guy 2 and "TRIGGERED" said guy 3. It was like the three Stooges.

However, I just answered "And you have it the other way round". Meaning: They are children playing as adult character. Silence. When you get the troll spammers silent you know you K.O. them. Was waiting to be expelled anyways.

Now they pulled the perfect Troll number by trolling us - not only me, but many - by using lifts, splitting the group this way into worse combinations (e.g. the two healers were on the lift) while spamming /laugh emotes as we waited for the lift to be back down again. But they suddenly played good cop, bad cop when I brought up possible reports. "What did we do?" "Let's keep calm and play to win" essentially, to keep the chat clean and make them look like proper players while actually keep on griefing.

After a cutscene I loaded right into Gridania. So, not only could I get a faster dungeon now as they are stuck in the 35 minute cutscene spree, but also file my reports.

But not for the banter or the ad hominem attacks. No, for the griefing and disruption.

I am sure they hope people report them for the chatlog, which was obivous as they suddenly became very friendly to soothe and easy the tone in general. And GMs won't ban people for banter or light smacktalk, paying customers over words which can be ignored. Since LoL, I knew that they gamble with that and I rather explained how these three people were griefing, disrupting the dungeon by locking out other players.

You know when back then, in 2015, I wanted to quit anyways and went into dungeons as healer but only sat in the Haukke mansion's lobby on the couch, the reason for my report was basically "refusing to play my role". And by running away in Castrum, leaving DPS tank-less and the tanks healer-less etc, by disrupting the flow and the "Holy Trinity" of the roles, they broke the rules. I also added their emote spamming, to make it clear it's intentional.

I don't mind the kick. What I do mind is a bunch o' jerks that run amok because they know being nice in chat makes them less prone for warnings and anyone who does not like how they ruin your fun and speaks up gets vote-kicked. I got my stuff done and I hope that, with a lot of different wordings, the GMs also realized that putting the success of a run - even just Castrum Roulette - by locking people out on purpose and /laughing can't be ignored, plus the waiting time for the duty finder itself - unlike a seemingly nice chatlog. Those yobs - to young for a job or career where their boss would have taught them their lesson - have never seen real parenting, and the only way to get them to understand is to take away their video games - or access to them. And that's what I hope worked, and even if it's just a warning.

In the end, that kick was a self-cleaning as I don't have to participate in such a disgusting environment, so I wonder who they did a favour with..

I DON'T CARE. IT'S A GUILDHEST. I like to be polite, say hello, say goodbye! THIS IS THE EASIEST AND FASTEST WAY TO DO IT BEFORE EVERYONE LEAVES.

I'm angry today. Excuse me while I scream incoherently. I don't macro ANYTHING else but hellos and goodbyes because I want to be able to hit it and then immediately get into doing my thing. How. Is that. A bad thing? I'm still being polite! I don't use any huge ASCII art or anything! Just usually something along the lines of "Let's do our best!" or "I hope everyone is having a wonderful day!". This also gears me up to quickly type and tell everyone if I'm new to a duty.

I just can't win today. And I know I'm probably taking it way too seriously, but it just. RGH. WRONG MOMENT, MAN. It's not a bad thing! Get over yourself!
