its interesting that people think yoshi recent statement was like a nail in the coffin to male viera and female Hroth
but its still in the same place it was before that statement

I did read and I did say you even said so yourself in my post. I was just saying Or tryign to say I think it's unfair to past judgement cause we don't know the details which could be why he gave the reply he did. But if I'm misunderstanding anything my bad.

No worries and I'm sorry if I was dismissive of your reply, it's easy to get tired of people jumping in to defend the devs...which is cool, but then fail to produce any receipts to make up their defense. At which point it's not a debate or even a discussion...it's individuals grasping to try and shoot others down.

Tho seriously after rerereading I get where you're coming from honestly, Sadly I think alot of the lingo in the post can come off as >.> eyes as he didn't really directly say no or yes. It was a PR statement as you say to cover his butt so they can lean either way. Which would be fine but all the drama and emotions people have make it into the shout fest it's been on various sites. And sadly the only way I can see everyone being relaxed is if he were to go - buck it- and spill all the beans which would end his career for sure. Corp. is a dirty buisness for sure.

A few friends and I were talking about the producer letter recently. They’re in the female hrothgar camp, and they do feel that the letter was the nail in the coffin. As such, they’ve suspended their subscriptions to the game until full implementation of the genders. It is sad, but I’ve also considered doing the same.

I take the letter as this "It's on the table" it is not a yes but it is not a no either which is actually a better outcome than i thought as i didn't expect to hear something like this till 5.1, the fact he used far more assertive language with regards to having child like characters playable within the same letter shows there is a least a potential to see the other genders being added (I just hope not in the same way as egi-glamours).

With that said i hope that if you suspend your sub as well that you and your friends will eventually come back with being able to play as the race/gender combo you want to play as

Exactly. And the topic itself is so cheap (for just a glamour) I don't know anymore if it's a kind of fetish with those people enjoying getting bullied or just a total absence of interest about the game itself and its future and just willing to sit in Limsa and RP/ERP or showing off their glam. Glad dev team isn't going to feed this rotten side of the community, they're a few, but they're very vocal and I believe they think showing off their RP skills with their walls of text while trying to argument their reasons will help them to transform those from crap to cakes.

Problem is even now Yoshi-P told people again this heinousness won't happen, they start to build their tricky RP castles in their own brains feeding something that doesn't exist in reality. Will be my last post on this thread as I am a gentleman wishing people not getting bullied and so wishing for this thread to disappear slowly in the next weeks/months.

There's literally no in-game reasons to not get a gender-lock race. All those are extra and related to RP, ERP and glamour show-off nobody cares about (or should) when it comes to videogames. For sure doesn't help the game to get better, so stop with this #$*8%!

I myself I am studying marketing, and as such I think this letter is to get people to 'forgive' them for not finishing the new races yet. That is due to the fact that not tonly did he use this to talk about glasses, but also he didn't really give a response to anything other than children erp. I think he did that mostly because he is trying to save the response for when the other genders come out so he can say: :Hey people! It was super tough to implement them but now in 6.0 you'll be able to play as male Viera and female hrotgar' which is a trick to gain more praise and good press for doing this
