An emote is being used to effectively irritate you and throw you off your game bottomline. If it wasn't squat it would be something else. Sit, slap, pet, hug, sulk (which often has a short punting animation at the start), whatever.

Taken to it's logical conclusion in order to "solve" this issue they'd have to remove all emotes.

So what then? Well, ppl would literally spam jump on your dead body for 25 seconds.

So the only thing that can really protect everyone from unpleasant experiences in PvP would be to remove the mode entirely.
(Or you know, getting better at the mode and not allowing yourself to get killed as much butwhohastimeforthatamirite?)
