Minority opinion. Small one at that. I know it's hard for the hardcore crowd to understand, but majority of the players don't play at the hardcore level. If you want a challenge, take some of your armour off before you play..
I mean... according to this thread, there's a fair amount of players sharing that opinion. Also I don't think we'll have anybody denying the clear rates are higher across the board. We don't want them insanely difficult but lasting more than a single lockout would be nice.
I don't find SB trials easy, tbh. I mean, they are not hard, but brobably for half of community they will be at least challenging. Shinryu Ex can be an actual pain, same as Nidhogg was. Ofc if you have savages experience (not even necessarily clears/farm exp), or do extremes often enough, all these primals would look quite easy, because most of mechanics are same or very similar.
So, difficulty level on Exes is actually okay, though it will not be worse if they will make new trials a little bit harder (and I think they will, most likely). What would be really good is having more new mechanics. Bubble avoiding on Byakko and color dancing on Suzu were quite fan. Nothing special with bubbles though, but fresh. Seiryu hasn't new mechanics, but still quite interesting to do. MSQ Trials are all fairly good.
Well... we don't know what think those, who don't use Forums (the real majority) or who wasn't interested in this thread and didn't comment here.according to this thread, there's a fair amount of players sharing that opinion
I thought they were perfect, Savage is too hard for me but I was able to clear these so I think they are a good balance.
I know it's hard for the casual crowd to understand but a lot of people don't play like they've got pants on their head. If you want things to be easier maybe try improving your understanding of your job before playing?
Gee, it's almost like that mentality works to dismiss other opinions no matter what they are.
It's not that the SB content was "too simple and easy" per se, but it's just most that EX trials in this expansion are easier than the most of the previous ones from previous expansions (points to Lakshmi EX and Byakko EX).
I understand that, but I am asking the opinions of those who have attempted (and probably completed) the Extreme trials of Stormblood. Have you done these trials during this expansion yet?

It's hard for me to gauge difficulty between heavensward and stormblood battles because I am used to playing this stuff these days where in heavensward I had just started. I imagine for players coming into it as I did back in the day they are a lot more challenging.
Lakshmi: This fight had no interesting mechanics and just required activating buff and some AOEs. It is easily the most forgettable trial in the game aside from steps of faith which I forgot existed until the other day when I got it while leveling up an alt character.
Susano: This was fun, I still enjoy playing it, I feel it is one of the only SB fights that actually requires group coordination.
Shinryu: I didn't do this on release but the add phase feels out of place, we're alone with Zenos on top of the royal palace where do these extra dragons come from. If they took out that garbage then it'd be great though the last part is a bit of a letdown and kills the vibe of battling a dragon a bit.
Byakko: The first phase of this fight may as well not exist, it is so short and boring that it serves no purpose. The flying bit is cool for a bit but lasts too long. Besides those things it's alright, not great but not bad.
Tsukiyomi: I'd already been in god kefka when this came out so I didn't see the point and never did it and at this point I still haven't bothered. I was uninterested and played Destiny 2 during this raid tier since the whole kefka battle was so uninspired and it being the easiest raid tier I've played.
Suzaku: This fight was pretty fun and the ddr part still is fun to do since the pattern is random. I wish the first part did not have a jump so soon which makes openers a bit odd. I wish the simon says part was a bit better at the end as it really depends on server ticks as to if you get hit or not which makes it not fun.
Seiryu: This is mainly just another uninteresting battle, zurvan was the same way and I only did that 2 times clear for myself and for my friend Riri lol. I haven't done much farming or buying weapon upgrades since deltascape so I ran this a few times to upgrade my old genji weapons for a few alt jobs.
Now is just a good time as any if you are interested in the Lunar Wolf and the Nine-Tailed Fox mount. There is also a Moon-themed fish tank decoration housing item you can sell or use for yourself. Your mileage may vary should you pursue these rewards.

Ever since it was announced that Thordan Extreme was "too difficult" and they said they'd never make trials that difficult in the future, I've found extreme trials to be very lack luster. To put it in perspective, I've been back to the game probably 3 weeks. On the first day I went straight to the MB and bought a full 380 hq crafted set for my pld and proceeded to a couple seriyu ex clear parties in PF after watching a video as it's the most current extreme and wanted to get some decent weapons. I cleared it within 2 hours. Needless to say I was happy but very disappointed at the same time.
