Mentors who end up in content they don't remember or new to a duty shouldn't feel ashamed. Like I told the last mentor who apologized for not knowing how a boss worked " It's fine we can learn the fight together!" As for mentors who leave extreme trials, I can't say I blame them really, you can only tell someone to do something so many times.If they continue to ignore your advice, what can you really do? Wasting a hour of people ignoring everything you say is honestly time wasted and a mentor could spend that time elsewhere, even time helping people who actually want to learn.

I disconnect from Random Roulette Instances that I know from experience are not worth the time to do or complete

e.g. Trial Roulette getting Shinryu or Nidhogg. On average it takes 2 or 3 times to complete. i'm doing Roulettes for the little gil and some seals. If its not something that I can complete in 5-10 minutes why should I bother. I can go gather or craft and get more gil in the 30 minute penalty than the time it takes for sprouts to learn how to do a trial. (Go watch a Youtube Video before you enter.... :S)

Not really, no. And it's not elitist in the slightest-- not looking for a clear, and in fact I'm more than happy to wipe a bit with some people wanting to progress through the MSQ. Guildhests should be deleted, and the mount is ugly.

So players that come to the game later shouldn’t even attempt to learn the older content? Or players that lives might just now be allowing them the time to invest in that content? I mean with old content in party finder people only really join when it is unsync’d to get the rewards. So how are they supposed to learn? Duty is pretty much the only option unless there are FC and linkshells willing to do it. But those are not always available where the duty is even with queue times.

I'm better spent helping someone through Abania or Emanation or Shinryu or Fluminis. Especially this close to Shadowbringers, where people actually do need to get caught up on MSQ.

While that is true it is also possible that getting people to learn older content helps prepare them for the new content as well. Also, why are we suddenly labeling them scared to use party finder. Party finder doesn’t always net you party. It is another tool to use to get content done. Not the only.

As for teaching mechanics, to use Titan hard as an example: Titan Extreme doesn't really do much to teach players anything additional they need to know further on that they can't learn in normal content. A player that pays attention can get everything they need out of Titan Hard without going on to extreme. Their "education" would be better spent getting through Heavensward's later dungeons instead.

Waste people in mentor roulette? It’s not wasted. It’s there because SE felt it should be included. The simple fact is you don’t want to do the content so it shouldn’t be utilized by players trying to clear it let them go elsewhere. I’m done going round and round with this.
