Hello, I have a question for SE..... The Producers of FFXIV..... Since we may only own one house per account per world, can our ALTS on the same world at least have rights to the house since they owned by our account instead of our character?

They did say last year that this was something they were working on but had no idea when it would happen. I'm hoping we'll see it by 5.1 if not expansion launch.

I would love that so much! I would cheerfully designate my current guest room as my alt's room and be done with it.

Wonder how many houses could be gained by that, I know a few people who own multiple houses because they have alts that they actively play (they're not just for "show"). It would certainly be pretty cool to be able to share your house with your alt.

Also around that time it would be nice if SE allowed you to trade to your alts lol.

Bit of an aside but I thought it could be fun to have our characters do things while we're away, like raise a random stranger or whatever - a bit like how you can sometimes find a retainer out in the wild, and you might come across your alt hanging out in the house, cooking and giving you free food, tending the stable/garden occasionally (free random chance), and even get a chance to recruit them to your squadron or something lol. Can work in some moogle side quest for players who don't want to level an alt but have the above benefits sometimes .

There are generic retainers in various locales that you'll see sometimes. I'd usually run across them the most in the areas surrounding camp dragonhead.

While we don't currently have any plans to be able to party with your retainer Check this out!

Have any of you noticed the retainers out and about in certain field areas gathering for their masters?
After patch 2.3 we made it possible to see them gathering in the field, so next time you're gathering, the person next to you might just be someone's retainer!

I've only seen it north of Costa del Sol, but yep!

It used to be possible for each character to buy their own house. That possibility was removed some patches back, at the same time as they introduced the timers for buying newly relinquished plots.
Only the ability to buy multiple houses got restricted, so those who already owned multiple houses could keep them.
