While we don’t currently have any plans to be able to party with your retainer… Check this out!

Have any of you noticed the retainers out and about in certain field areas gathering for their masters?
After patch 2.3 we made it possible to see them gathering in the field, so next time you’re gathering, the person next to you might just be someone’s retainer!

Oh thats kind of…. Disappointing. Can we interact with them? Can we see there names? If not, then we might mistake them for a npc and not even think twice thats someones retainer. Is it possible to think about adding or summonable to party, adventuring or dungeons? Cause right now they feel a little like a dog. I give you ventures now go fetch me something.(Im not tying to insult you guys Square Enix. God won’t like if i did that)

So thats what i saw when i was out mining cobalt ores few nights ago, because the no-named npc suddenly turned towards me & spoke a few words.
Was kinda creepy because i was the only one there lol.

Oh lol I saw the same thing, I thought it was Hildebrand\s dad since it had the same look just with clothes on lol.

I saw that same one! It was really bizarre.. I noticed him walking around talking to himself about the heat or something then he turned to me, gave me a /comfort emote, said it was time to pack up and disappeared.

Fun little addition to the game I think.

I'm a total sucker for these dynamic changes to the game world, especially in MMOs where you least expect them.

I also noticed Minfilia's private military of ULTRAMARINE WARRIORS standing around serving and protecting Eorzea on streetcorners after you finish the MSQ. Love it!

Is this only for Gathering class retainers, or will we be able to see battle classes duking it out with their targets? :3
