As far as I'm concerned, the OP has every right to report someone with malicious intent. And intent matters, even in matters of law intent is extremely important before deciding on a guilty/innocent verdict, let alone a sentence.


One thing would be a slip of the tongue, a conversation between person's where a third might accidentally be spoiled - sucks, but it happens.
The other is someone going out of their way to ruin someone else's fun, unprovoked and just because (aka, malicious).



Whether it falls directly as harassment, whether it breaks the TOS or not, I'm not completely sure. But that's what the GMs are being paid to do.
So don't feel bad for reporting someone who's wronged you. Let the GMs figure out what to do with it, that's literally their job.

It doesn't matter how "trival" you might personally think the offense is - point is that if they said it specifically because they knew it would upset people that sort of toxic behavior has no place in an MMO. It's harassment.

The account won't be at risk, if indeed it was just a mistake. Maybe your experience is different, but all the experiences I've had (and observed) with the GM team has always been very human.
The first thing they'd likely do is read through chat logs and check whether they can confirm whatever happened was a repeat offense or not.

His account isn't at risk, it would be a slap on the wrist. A well-deserved one, in this case.

Should I report you for threatening to report me due to a question? You are currently compelling a conversation style that I find reprehensible after all. Also, your threats are causing me deep emotional distress.

Also, blackmail how? I cannot blackmail you with public knowledge (you posted in an open forum) I would have to have access to information that is private. (which I don't)

I don't recall defending anything anyone has done btw. I just recognized aggressive and rude posting, and called it as such.

You have no idea about what people write reports about either, because you aren't a GM and if you were, you wouldn't speak about it. You also don't know what reports get actioned, to define what is or isn't useless.

The ToS dictates what should be reported, not McPerson Playerface who's alright with spoiling people in shouts but is against any other random issue. It's supposed to be fair for everyone, not according to someone's bias.

Ironically "heavily insulting someone" is all about feeling offended. Cheating as well, unless they cheated to steal a roll on loot from you or something like that.

From the way that reads, anyone can report anyone for anything and they can be punished for it. So, do you feel this is a legitimate way to utilize reports? Because it seems to me they are being weaponized frivolously.

It could probably be considered being detrimental to another's gameplay seeing as it lessens one's enjoyment of the game if it is done to a point where it could be considered harassment and/or trolling. Otherwise I don't see it being a reportable offense.
