TOMESTONES SHOULD BE AN OPTION TO USED IN GETTING ITEMS TO UPGRADE RAUD GEAR

I have been on the RAID SCENE for a couple of months now & have been enjoying it. My RDM (my main job) is sporting that 390/400 raid gear.

I do the 24 man raids for the coins & also the Hunts for the Centurio Seals to obtain the Peerless Logs to get the items to upgrade the Raid gear.

I know when my tomestones are capped I could work on getting weapons for the other jobs but I feel the tomestones should also be used to get those items to upgrade the Raid gear.

Tomestones are used to purchasing crafting items. orchestrian rolls, etc. why not use them to purchase the items to upgrade gear. Just set the amount of each item high, from 500 - 1500 tomestones.

You have grind the 24 man raids, you have to grind the Hunts, & you will have to grind for tomestones...so why not make it an option SE!

they probably will in 5.0 if HW is anything to go off of, im pretty sure poetics can buy everything from that expansion.

otherwise, Sieryu's 395 weapons are legit alternatives.

Yes, you can buy the 3.x upgrade items with Poetics. I don't recall how long into Stormblood that came about, but I would expect this to happen either in the 5.1x or 5.2x patches. I would not expect it at 5.0 launch, however.

That is correct. Shire upgrade items became purchasable with poetics the moment Stormblood dropped so Scaevan upgrade tokens will be available via poetics the moment Shadowbringers drops.

I don't think that is where the OP is getting it at though. I believe he would like to be able to buy the items used to augment current gear with tomes as another alternative to centurios and 24-man raid pennies. I think the reason why this is currently not an option is so that players will do hunts and run alliance. However, they could use the most current tomes at a high cost and I think it would be just fine considering that even now, tomes of Genesis still have a weekly max. If he wants tomes of mendacity to be able to do so though, that would be an issue.

He's already doing that and then some. He's seeking extra alternatives, not avoiding the ones he's currently working at.

Upgrading tome gear with more tomes should be relegated to a time when it's literally irrelevant, I'm glad it stays this way until a new xpac.
