Petition For Housing Changes

Ok so I along with many of you have had issues with the housing situation in ffxiv so instead of complaining about it which is clearly getting no results. I created a petition for the issue here. MAYBE if it gets enough posts SE will at least break there silence in regards to this issue, please don't complain, don't gripe, anyone who has been trying to buy a house for the past year knows the issues, and struggles and time spent trying to buy a house. I have spent over 140 hrs in the past 2 months trying to buy a FC house and still have had no success so I understand the problem. Be a help not a hindrance.

So please SE for the fans and your customers/ supporters say something about housing. give us answers, fix the rng timer to a 3 hr base window for people who have a life outside of the game. make it as fair as possible. randomization is fine it sucks but its fine. but 26 hrs randomization? people don't have that kind of time to spend on a video game with the odds of loosing it due to someone using a bot.
this is your chance SE to be HONARABLE and address the issues your players truly want answers to

They're aware that the current housing system isn't meeting player expectation and that players are unhappy.

They have not been totally silent. They told us last summer they were trying to work out a way for alts to share a house already owned by an account. They acknowledged the request for Ishgard housing at the NA FanFest. They mentioned other player housing concerns at the EU/JP FanFests.

But what you're doing is demanding they tell us that they're going to make housing what you want it to be. They aren't going to do that.

Like most game developers, they aren't going to say anything unless they have something specific they are preparing to implement that is in the final stages of completion, or they are at least confident they'll be able to implement when finished. Players have a tendency to take vague statements of intent as concrete promises, or even to twist more specific statements as meaning something they don't.

They are not ignoring the issues. When they are ready to implement a change, you can be sure we will hear about it.

Randomization should never be part of housing. I understand the situation now, but get the “make it random and I hope to win the lottery” mentality out of housing all together. Randomization is accepted in the gold saucer where you have many other ways of getting what you want, not in a feature that most players want and only a few get to have.

You want to cure cancer, you remove it... you dont treat the nausea and call it a day. The current housing situation is cancer.

Is quite simple actually, the problem always existed, but now with the server transfer due the new data center and people joining friends who had moved or where moved themselves, the amount of affect people grew exponentially and with that the chances of the affected using the forum grew as well, since the forum player base is a fraction of the players.

Honestly? It's more so that the moment that housing became available was when all the complaints returned. Prior to this server merry-go-round, some servers had houses open, while others did not have a single house open. And this was like that for what, half a year or longer? That was why it was so quiet because people went quiet and were tired or weren't in-game all that much anyway. As we are getting closer to the expansion, this new server swap. People are slowly returning and transferring causing house to finally open up after so long. Causing frustration all over again. That is my opinion.

I'd like for them to just include more fucking housing area's... It is retarded they cannot create more virtual real estate. SE stop being so greedy and use some of that sub money to give us more residential zones.
