AF gear "fits the style of xx" job. Outside of AF gear, there is no such thing as "the style of xx" job. If you're not wearing AF, you're wearing gear that fits the style of you.To make each set of gear feel like it belongs to that class. There are some pieces that aesthetically look good on a Monk or Samurai, but wouldn't look good on the opposite. Same with Aiming gear, there's some that would probably look good on Bard, but doesn't fit the style of a Machinist.

Yes, which ultimately results in people wearing only one thing for very long periods of time until something comes along that fits their aesthetic. Whether it's the aesthetic of their job or their own fashion sense.
At least with what I suggest, the people who want to glamour themselves to fit the aesthetics of the job will have more options. I know several Bard players who refuse to glamour any headgear besides a fancy hat.
And that's fine for the people whose personal style is to wear fancy hats on their bards. But you shouldn't consolidate three sets of gear into one set of gear and lock everyone out of two of the three appearances, just because you think "bards should wear fancy hats". Maybe some MCHs want fancy hats. Maybe some BRDs want more options that are not fancy hats.
