Male Viera as a playable character! show your support

Of course he did since FFXII, it's in the concept artworks. Akihiko Yoshida is the best designer in Square-Enix (and one of the best in all the gaming scenario today) together with Amano and Minaba, reason why I find it disgusting, disturbing and very sad reading people interested in male Viera exclusively for their eRP games in Limsa/housing as Final Fantasy is totally not this, not even ARR.
And again talking about an already taken decision is a waste of energy and brings nothing on the table, focus on the game itself, on the next expansion mechanics (lore, music, gameplay, whatever) and let's try to close the circle around the marginalized players interested in sexual activities till they finally disappear for good. I am content with SE not feeding them with ShB, that's one of the most positive note of the expansion as the problem (cause it is a problem) is real and their crazy-mad reactions when you hit with words where it hurts the most are the proof of why this thread is alive and what these kind of players want.

Thank you for actually providing facts and citation. I think if we get male Viera they will be something along the lines of this concept art, which is what I hope for.

That was planned for Heavensward, they chose Aura male instead; I don't know in what language we have to say it to you, but you're not going to get Viera male.

I've followed this thread since it was posted. I haven't seen a single person posting that wants male Viera exclusively for ERP. Having the freedom to visually express themselves in an MMO (a staple of the genre)? Sure. Even if they did, however, why does that even matter to you? It's something done in private on two servers. Two. It doesn't affect you in any way whatsoever all the way over on Chaos.

Exactly. A FF9-like vibe race/version of Viera might even be welcome (teen/tween as long as Akihiko Yoshida is the one making it). An Aura M clone - tool for people interested in ERP activities absolutely not. But yea, we're not going to get neither as decisions were made already and Yoshi-P couldn't be more clear at the FF in Tokyo. This is the natural reaction of tired and annoyed players logging lodestone and reading the most useless threads were there's ways more to talk about - things that really matter.

Now you get two different races and of course gender locked because it's already a struggle fixing the gear for the two of them; you're not only ignoring this fact Yoshi-P stated multiple times but you're also pretending to not know Yoshi-P announced FFXIV will have no more races as the work to do behind it is too much. So I ask again, what's the point of this topic?

The man just said that they didn't have the time to both but wanted to please the people asking for Viera and the ones asking for a more beasty race.
Aren't you the one ignoring his words? (or choosing what you want out of it).

To be fair, there have been some pretty creepy suggestions and images posted within this very thread. Though those individuals are thankfully a minority and it isn't a reflection of what most people desire when it comes to Viera men. I do find myself questioning the concern in regards to ERP, though. Viera women have been deliberately designed to be 'Waifu Bait' to a greater degree than their FFXII counterparts. Xaela/Raen women were the same way and such can be said about Miqo'te women as well.
