Ideally, I don't think anyone should have to wait or camp to purchase a plot.

But if we had to keep the system we have right now, then the question we have to ask ourselves is who should be given the advantage. Because someone will have an advantage over another; unless we decide to make everyone, transfers and first-time buyers, wait for the timer.

Currently, the ones who have an advantage are the ones who already own a house. They don't have to worry about the timer because they can bypass it. You can have a group of 7 to 9 people would-be first-time buyers camping at a plot, only to have someone swoop down and transfer to the house just like that, making those hours of waiting and camping meaningless and a waste of time.

We have to ask ourselves what would be most fair. Should people who already have a house be given this advantage? Or should it be people who don't own a house at all? Who should be made to camp and wait for a timer to be done?

I personally wouldn't mind first-time buyers being allowed to bypass the timer. Give them a chance to buy a house. Then, when they want to transfer, they can camp and wait with the rest of the house-owners.

The trolling/bullying/whatever is clearly uncalled for but it doesn't change the argument fundamentally.
Yes, house-owners do open up a spot when they transfer, but the timer resets. People who have been waiting for hours now have to go to another plot, hoping that the timer ends soon. It's incredibly frustrating and grueling.

I'm only thinking about what would be most fair considering the current system we have.

If a timer has to be in place, everyone (new or current home owners) that wanted a particular plot should have to wait out the timer. It shouldn't matter if someone lucked out and acquired a plot already, especially when certain size/locations are so rare.

On Excalibur the past day or so there have been quite a few times where it seems like someone got a plot in say-goblet for example, and relocated to shiro right away. the length of time for the timer, the randomness of it, all just breeds frustration and discontent.
