I would say maybe just don't try to get a house as soon as transfers open up. It'll die down once people get houses and stop playing the game again. Before housing demo was off, smalls all over the place were at 1.4 mil aka were sitting there forever. Wait for that, buy a small, relocate when your dream plot pops up. Yeah the system sucks when everyone wants housing, but people would complain no matter what system was there tbh.

In Siren every spot seems to have 1 or 2 people set to private so they can't be messaged, constantly clicking the Placard.

It's not just Balmung. If you're not on a small population server you're guaranteed to see at least 2 people camping the placards. Every plot on Cactuar has people scoping them trying to get it.
