    New Area, Kholusia...

    Game of Thrones, anyone?

The English localization is already littered to the brim with references and puns tilted towards the popular series, but it is now seeping into the world design as well. This is hardly a coincidence and I feel this is going a bit too far.. What do you think?

I liked how open the Azim Steppe was and this zone seems to have a similar design, albeit divided between an upper and lower section.

I was unaware GoT invented the "Big Frickin' Wall" trope, learn something new every day, I guess.

Kholusia seems to be more of a cliff than a wall though, and given the Dwarves live nearby and "are known for their skill at mining, metallurgy, and crafting mechanical marvels", I expect that to be nothing more than a means of transporting materials, rather than any form of Light-Watch. Honestly my first thought was "That's the Firsts HQ Skylift, right?", given Kholusia is La Noscea...

No, Game of Thrones did not invent that trope, but it does look like the Wall

Anyway, it does seem like a pretty nice place, so still hyped nontheless

This doesn't really strike me as ripoff territory. For starters this is a natural cliffside and not a wall. It just looks like a cliff with some kind of structure built in the middle there. Now if it turns out that's a barrier holding back Sin Eaters then maybe you'll have a point, but this doesn't strike me as a ripoff. We'll see how the area is handled in game.
