We are so beyond immersion breaking it's not even worth getting upset over anymore. Mine was broken forever ago. So sure, I'll take my flying car in this jokey joke hyper themepark game that makes very little attempt to be true to itself, cuz there's no going back now. I just learned to roll with the punches. I might have been upset with this a year ago, but they've certainly been building up the goofs to this moment. I don't get why they even bother with lore anymore, none if it means anything anymore.

I've seen at least one other person cruising on the roads of the Dravanian Hinterlands, so I would say people mostly like them cars The only problem is, is that my character gets rained on, with no way to put a top on the car :<

They whined about the bike, they're whining about the car, and they will continue to whine about anything remotely modern to the game despite the aesthetic of the Garlean Empire or the hyper advanced tech of the Allagans. Why? Because people are entitled and love to complain.

I'm not a fan of the car, much like I wasn't a fan of the car mounts in Tera. They feel tacky to me. I'm not getting it but if others like and enjoy it then I'm happy for them.

Honestly the only thing I am a bit disappointed in was they didn't make a Cup Noodle housing decoration, haha.

Perhaps, but most of the other ugly or weird mounts are rare and rarely seen - and thus can mostly be ignored. Unlike the car, I don't have to watch dozens of flying turtles make Rhalgr's Reach look like a parking lot.

It's been less than a week since it was live, of course they're all over the place, everyone literally only JUST got the new Regalia mounts, so they wanna try it out and have some fun with it.

I'd say within 1 or 2 months of the event ending, lots of folks will soon switch back to other mounts, it's really not worth stressing over NOW.

ehhh, I've always found all the Allagan stuff with its bright neon lights more jarring in that regard, and I stopped bothering about the "high fantasy aesthetics/immersion" the moment I got my ironworks gear back in ARR. Also if you'd really care about the FF aesthetics you should complain about people using ANY of the mounts besides the chocobo and magitech reaper.
(And from what I'm seeing in Rhalgr's or during hunts, many people already went back to using other mounts here)
