    MMOs on current gen consoles negatively affect PC players in 0 ways. So, yes, let's take games out of players hands because we must bow to PC elitism, right?

    I'd like to remind everyone of a random fun fact that even I'd previously forgotten about. When the PS4 released in Japan on Feb 22, 2014 (based on my Google-fu, anyway), they had a beta test for FFXIV's PS4 version starting that same day.

    So it's entirely possible that SE could work closely with Sony to get a PS5 version soon (read: at least two months) after the PS5's Japanese release date (whenever that ends up being).

    They will probably make a native PS5 client. In the meantime, people can use the PS4 Pro client and it should be available as early as day 1.
