I built mine on a budget, trying to keep under $500.

CPU: AMD Athlon II X 4 @ 2.6ghz
MB: ASUS M4A785TD-M
RAM: 4GB Corsair DDR3 @ 1333mhz
PSU: Rosewill RP600V2-S-SL 600W
GPU: Radeon HD 5570 (I thought it had HDMI when I bought it, stupid me. I have to use a display port to HDMI converter.)
HDD: 250GB Seagate 7200 RPM
Case: NZXT GAMMA Classic Series GAMA-001BK Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
DVD: Can't remember. Lite-on? Sony? Not that it matters much.
OS: Windows XP SP3. Yes, I know about the memory limitation. I need to upgrade to W7.

I play fullscreen on a 42" Vizio at 1920x1080, with the background drawing distance set to high, normal drawing set to standard, and the textures set to standard. I can turn these up to high but I start chopping a little. I prefer a smooth framerate to excellent visuals.

Finally, for input I use a PS3 DualShock 3, and a Logitech K350 wireless ergonomic keyboard and mouse.

Do you use the Motionjoy drivers for your PS3 Controller? If so I found if I use the XBOX 360 Emulator on the motionjoy drivers the vibration function will work for me on my PS3 Controller. I couldnt figure out how to get the PS3 setting in motionjoy to make the vibration work

I run it on 1280x720 because of my disability i can't run it higher or else I couldn't read the text in-game.

I have run it on 1980x1280 (or whatever the max setting is) with no frame issue just can't read the chat and/or menus.

Yeah, I run it under the 360 setting. I find it funny. Playing a PC game with a PS3 controller that's emulating a 360 control, that is.

I never had a problem with frames at that reso I just don't like playing "Blind" no pun intended to myself on that one. ; ;

So would you say that the keyboard you are using is for more of someone using FPS? Because I play with gamepad exclusively. The main thing that I am looking for is a regular sized keyboard that has a feel of a laptop keyboard. I had owned one in the past but dont remember what it was. I am not that picky with keyboards. For me it is more of the way the keystrokes feel.

yeah, it is more for fps games actually. it does have a full size keyboard, but if you will not be changing back and forth between they keysets then you would more than likely want to look at the g15 and g19 keyboards. i love mine because i do some fps gaming so the movement keys work great because i can put them on when i want, but for someone that does no fps gaming i do not see any usage for it for you.

What settings are you playing at? This is pretty much the exact same build I'm going to upgrade to.

I play at 1920x1080,
Draw distance 8-9
Textures on high and highest
8xCSAA sometimes
Backround drawing 4
Shadows on standard
No ambient or none of the things checked off and I rarely ever go below 60 fps might dip some in towns but nothing lower than 45ish

In windows 7 just right click your desktop and choose personalize. From there you choose one of the themes in Basic and High Contrast Themes. I found it is a tad different.

My settings are 1920x1200
8x CSAA
General Drawing Quality 8
Backround quality 5
Shadow Detail Highest
Texture Quality High
Texture Filtering Highest
Ambient and Depth off

Everything works great with those settings, easily hit 40 + FPS in most situations. I tried upping Drawing quality by 1 and the game can barely run, oddly enough though, it looks no different. The updates have done a significant difference in my performance, you hardly need a top rig anymore to run this game beautifully. 500-600$ can get you something that'll almost max out the game.
