Male Viera as a playable character! show your support

Pictures like this make me wonder if people rather want a body they can gaze at or if they really want male Viera to be added. I can slowly understand why people say this whole thing is a "kink" thing.

I've said this before, but I want the devs to do their own thing. I like how Yoshi P described his vision of male viera.
However, there's nothing wrong with people describing how they would like male viera to look like.
and for the record, I'm not gay, so it's not what you're thinking.

As a note, for those saying that Male Viera don't exist in the lore of Final Fantasy 12, the Final Fantasy XII Scenario Ultimania book supposedly states that Male Viera do exist, on page 88. I'm trying to find an english version of the page to link but that has proven difficult.

I agree with you 1000000% on this. However, I have had my fair share of disagreements with people who disagree on the basis of them not existing as XII, even though this is an entirely separate game with it's own unique lore. So I went searching for info regarding male viera in general and found that little tidbit which has helped with a couple of debates.

It's already a like... frustrating but accepted thing to have binary gendering in these games. But I was so looking forwards to a male viera, possibly as a bit of a self insert, for my nonbinary butt - the best way I could do it without being dysphoric, and bunnies are one of my favorite animals!
So the genderlock is frustrating personally, but also on a wider scale just.... silly. If you're going to primarily offer binary gender options for everything else, even if I don't always agree with the sexual dimorphism involved or the binaries themselves, why NOT for the bunnies?

My entire issue with you Baki is that there is only one game where male viera has not "existed" and that was advance where we know for a fact the world is not truly ivalice but a fantasy made by Mewt, in all other games it can be inferred that Male viera DO exist as almost all further titles in the ivalice line take place in the timeline of XII as I've stated, which is before the cataclysm which whipped out the fairy tale races (Bangaa, Moogle, Viera).
Yes they have not been seen, and you can argue that this tradition should continue in respect of the lore but my issue is you stating that male viera LITERALLY did not exist in XII which is wrong.

Stop. I never said they didn't exist in XII. That was when they were mentioned. they didn't exist in the lore before XII is my meaning, you can Infer them existing all you want but they did not have a single mention before XII, as a collary they didn't physically exist in XII anyway, we even went into their Great Wood, which would have a been a wonderful time to have gotten a glimpse at the Wood Warders, but nope, just women all through.

Sort of relating this to what I learned from being grilled in a certain other thread, the reason there aren't really non-binary characters in the game is because there is no concept of that in the game's fictional world. Therefore there won't be outright non-binary characters echoing real life. Guess the best option is headcanon and cope the best with what they give you.

Probably a protest against their decision to do things the way they did them, a valid protest you don't have to like everything a company does its on the same level as those who refused to enter Eureka its their own form of protesting against something best to leave it be rather than get uppity about it
