still rocking my protest ears

Word count my dudeLet's also not forget that all this self proclaimed "successful outrage" is next on invisible on the 25 paged thread about not just Male Viera but also Female Hrothgar on the JPN side of this forum where players are actually reasonable on this topic. Many other forums about this game seem to have grown tired of this topic as well.
Again my observation is based off of objective polling data nothing more nothing less, as you've stated in your "critique" of posters in support of male viera, anecdotal evidence such as. "I've SEEN the demand, I've READ the posts" as for male elezen, there's about a 4000 player difference, you could quite literally say the same thing for female viera not being added in but it's obvious the issue with Elezen is not it's body type but it's proportions, an issue that Roe doesn't really suffer from, as janky as some of it's animations are, proportional? yeah they're pretty much what you'd want from a "buff" race. Au ra pretty much covers the other spectrum being more broad and less lanky than the male elezen, the only other "buff" race we have to go on are highlanders which we can't see the data for based on that chart because of the fact that everything else is just "Hyur"
And again by that line of thought lalafell and miqo'te are the most played male race if we discount hyur again, there's more than about double the amount of people playing male miqo's than there are roe's. I'm simply again stating that you cannot cite something as OBJECTIVELY being more in demand than something else, when there is no real data to back up said assertion.
Yoshida wanted to meet the demand he felt for a beastly race as well the dev team feeling like it would add more to the races as a whole, Viera was added in due to how much the fans demanded them. Trying to use the demand for a beastly race as a way to downplay the desire for male viera is in my opinion an incorrect argument, especially when your justification is that MORE people OBJECTIVELY want a beastly buff race, when popular racial trends as well as previous official polls don't support this.
My entire issue with you Baki is that there is only one game where male viera has not "existed" and that was advance where we know for a fact the world is not truly ivalice but a fantasy made by Mewt, in all other games it can be inferred that Male viera DO exist as almost all further titles in the ivalice line take place in the timeline of XII as I've stated, which is before the cataclysm which whipped out the fairy tale races (Bangaa, Moogle, Viera). The veira lore has been in place since FFXII way back in 2008. Before that Male Veira literally didn't exist.
Yes they have not been seen, and you can argue that this tradition should continue in respect of the lore but my issue is you stating that male viera LITERALLY did not exist in XII which is wrong.

Pictures like this make me wonder if people rather want a body they can gaze at or if they really want male Viera to be added. I can slowly understand why people say this whole thing is a "kink" thing.
I hope they wont listen to any feedback about body proportions. They should just create and design them, as they envision them. When I think about past posts (like pre 100 pages), this whole debate about small, tall, buff, slim.... Its not about male Viera anymore, just about a body type on a race. It's kinda sad and I pressure devs to remain true to themselves and create both Hrothgar and Viera as they imagine them.

Completely agree, just want them to added don't really care what they look like though...you know where my preferences lie.Pictures like this make me wonder if people rather want a body they can gaze at or if they really want male Viera to be added. Great ghost haired defenders of the Wood.

He might have meant that male Viera didn't exist in FF12 in the fact that they never appear in the game... which is true. We only ever see female Viera.

I don't think there's a lot of ways you can misinterpret "LITERALLY DIDN'T EXIST" but sure, like I said in my post that's a fine argument to have, I can't objectively argue against that if you personally would rather the male's remain a mystery and I don't think that line of thinking is inherently less valid than people who want them to be seen.

Remind me again why most guys make female characters? Oh yes, they like to stare at their asses instead of a male characters. Why shouldn't people want their character to be eye candy. The female Viera is why not the males too?Pictures like this make me wonder if people rather want a body they can gaze at or if they really want male Viera to be added. No matter how you cut and slice it, in the end it will be up to the developers, as they're the ones who decide if they will ever be a thing in the first place.Pictures like this make me wonder if people rather want a body they can gaze at or if they really want male Viera to be added. People are just giving their feedback, I don't see anyone forcing any hands here, its more suggestions more than anything.
About the "kink" thing, I think that's mainly the opinion of the indifferent side of the community who project that onto the people who request the male Viera, lets admit it, the females are supermodels in lingerie with cute fluffy bunny ears, it's not a surprise that people expect the men to look like male models with bunny ears also to fit thematically next to the female equivalent.
Even if a part of the playerbase asked for the males to look like hunks I don't see the problem with it, it would balance well with the females anyhow, "traditionally attractive" races usually tend to be played more, and the males in this MMO range far in between and none of them hit the bishounen trope really. Heck who knows, they might be hunchback bunnyboys of caerbannog for all we know.lol
Regardless if we eventually get males by some stroke of luck, they'll be dressed up in starter gear probably similar to that of the Au Ra males and not a fanservice-y set like the females, so I'm not that worried.
