It's fine to be curious about something that you don't know about, it isn't fine when people are making breeding slaves canon in their heads about a race they know almost ZERO about. I would never normally post in this thread, as I don't care one way or another if male Viera are added or not, but the things people are implying is down right disgusting.

There is a difference between someone headcanoning something and thinking about the implications of something. Please separate those two terms. Many people are uncomfortable with the IMPLICATIONS that the new lore brings to the table. Not everyone is saying that the new lore’s implications are CANON. Allow people to digest and dissect the lore until the third Lorebook launches.

It seems like the male viera crowd is starting to get hostile towards anything Hrothgar. That is a quick way to lose people that could/would support you guys but whatever.

To add to that, that small bit of lore is a lot of people's first impression with the race, specifically its females. They should've added a smidgen more thought into how that almost throwaway line about the female numbers could be taken.

The only real things we know about them involving numbers is that they're born at a less frequent rate and once they leave their village they are subjected to training that kills a number of them.

Pretty much this. We still know nothing about Hroths. Maybe they live so long that there is no need for giving birth too often and lack of females is not really a problem? Or they reproduce in more animalistic way with a lot of children at once with short pregnancy period? Maybe both at time, so living long and reproducing with a lot of children? There are some ways to play on this aspect so I suppose we should wait before making any strict conclusions.

Yet no one bring up the fact that there is lion, tiger, leopard and wolf in, akhem, one race. If there is a lion woman and wolf man - what kind of children will be born from this couple!?

Before it was all about lore is flexible and shouldnt matter much. Now because of biological terms, lore matters all of the sudden?
I mean, ok discuss as much as you want,but it wont change the fact that lore is lore like before.
I thought lore is not a reason to not get opposite genders, so why even discuss? To have another "valid" point?

I think some of you seriously needs to calm down.

Whatever the current lore may be, what really matters is how it changes and grows in the future. I'm looking forward to how things are sorted out--stories, after all, are incredibly malleable things. Hopefully things turn out nicely for everyone! In a game where things swerve so wildly all the time, anything can happen.
