My apologies confusion... I had little intention of being direct.
about this almost cliché brainchild of an idea.
In my mind, this is more a question of time in order to define what a "stone" is within this context. So old school MMORPGs are considered a bit of a grindy undertaking. I do play a Gladiator rather than a Paladin, I have no soul stone for this job. However once you reach level 50, there are no further abilities to learn. I have been thinking about what that means for the journey to a Lv. 80. Overall I would say I have a more dissonant character composition, which I attempt to balance with real life in a sense of a healthy habit yet I am constantly in wonder and racking my brain with what it would be like to play the other jobs how choosing another one would affect my character and real life, and I seem to find myself always at a crossroad of thinking, "Well if I do anything it should be the Paladin Quests because that is a class I have progress in rather than choose another which would upset the overall dissonant balance of play...I then flush that thought out with a 'No, it is a different path to be a Gladiator and I must see it through to the end.' " So I began to question what I means to have a soul stone and what a stone actual is, and for a while I had did not use any of them, before I said what the hell i'll check it out on my other classes(of course the ones that did not correspond to the original sub class restrictions after they had removed the requirements, otherwise it would be the opposite situation in which I would have only the PLD soulstone if I had not selected new classes.)
As I played my merry way then come to find that they introduced the purchase of completed jobs, which in my opinion have their place of purpose if perspective of organizing groups and such if one has already competed the content type deal or whatever, which i'm not entirely against I just don't think I will do that often or to try the jobs out. I'm more interested in the classes because the represent the origins of the game. Although newer jobs since the heavensward expansion have required soul stones and are turning up at various levels of equipment and i'm not sure what it means to use them or even to have them... So I though some third party voices might be able to shed some light on the predicament.
Although if you think about it a "stone" is a common symbol in lore, fiction, wives-tales and I know the tomestones were brought up as well; and in the defense of argumentation this topic does branch into contemporary philosophical debates.
