He. Is. Not. Black. Blonde hair, pale skin and blue eyes does not make Lyse white. She's a fantasy character in a fantasy game, not Caucasian. Raubahn and others having coarse hair and tanned skin does not make him in any way African or A.A. Where do you fit Nanamo, M'naago or Urianger? What about Hoary Boulder, Moenbryda or heck, even the Admiral?

Again, M'naago and J'olhmyn look like what I would consider "black" so not sure where this no black npcs is coming from. I mean they're obviously not black because that construct doesn't exist in the world of ffxiv, but definitely darker skinned npcs.Hold up. I don't care for the fantasy excuse when they pull from real-life traits. When I see that in the game, I make connections because of real life. And there are strong feelings. I really didn't want to go there, but are you black? You can't tell me how to feel about their conscious or unconscious choices when they keep putting them in my face. You think they should continue to not put any important black females in the game? I really hope they start somewhere. Or you don't agree?

I can even tell you where the fields were my great grandma worked in. I just don't agree with the notion of absolutely needing to force real life to fantasy. Steppe is based on Mongolia but you don't see people trying to fact check all things Mongolia or getting offended they don't act or speak a certain way. It's tiresome, let fantasy be its own final fantasy. Saying a character with dark brown skin is black is literally wrong because they are in no way African or descendants of an African people. They are Ala gosh darn Mhigans.

She looks a like a typical beauty from northern Europe. She could easily pass for swedish. Just because she isn't from Europe doesn't mean that she doesn't look like she is, and it doesn't mean that others from northern Europe wouldn't think she looks similar to them.
She is also a hyur, which is essentially human. She has literally zero physical traits that set her apart from a human.
