well then 2 months and after the fc leaders sub has been cancelled/on hold for 45 days, leadership of the FC autopasses to the 2nd in command. maybe instead of meaningless speculation just say "hey how about this? (insert idear here)"

Meaningless speculation? You're the one who has this idea that a fc is somehow broken or inactive if a certain amount of members don't log in within a week. I suppose you have never been in a moderately sized fc before. My fc is super active but on xmas week it was pretty dead. This is FAR from an unusual to happen to a gaming community. But with your suggestion we would have lost our house...because of one week of inactivity we have once a year. I cannot fathom how anyone could be remotely okay with this ludicrous suggestion of yours regarding the activity of members. You have managed to suggest something worse than lottery. Well done.

cool. whatever you want to think. I'm done with you.Meaningless speculation? I take it that means you think we should have lost our house due to our members visiting their family in Xmas week? That one week of low activity in a year invalidates how active our fc is otherwise?
I hope you don't lead a fc. It sounds like you would be kicking people if they dared to be busy for a week. Then again, who would join a fc with leadership like this.

This actually already automatically happens and has done since 2.2 (March 2014).
So it transfers to the next most senior person who has logged into the FC within the last 7 days.In the event a free company master does not log in for 35 days (Earth time), ownership will be automatically transferred to another free company member, based upon the following criteria:
1. Members who have logged in within the past seven days
2. Higher-ranked members preferred
3. Senior members preferred
* After the transfer, the former master will automatically be demoted to ordinary member status

ok awesome so that's already in place. after reading through some of the other posts in the housing forums, I've come to the conclusion that there most likely is not enough motivation to fix this issue anyways because it seems to only affect highly populated servers, and theres PLENTY of open plots on lower population servers, and really that's just more motivation for people to move from a high population server to a low population server, spreading out the population. This actually already automatically happens and has done since 2.2 (March 2014).

The only option which is a solution, is Instanced housing, 14 million players, not even 1% could possibly ever get a plot with so few wards/plots.Auctions
because I rather be guaranteed a house at a ridiculous price than stay up for 24 hours to not get one.
Lottery system
same housing system as the one that's currently in place, except when you find an open plot, you purchase a ticket for a drawing where the winner has exclusive rights to buying the plot for the next 24hrs and if it's not purchased within that time limit, the lottery restarts, and the previous winner cant buy another ticket for the same lot until the next time it goes up for sale.
Premium Housing Wards
pay some extra on your monthly sub for a house.
separate districts for FC USE ONLY meaning you can only purchase a house there if your the leader of an FC and the size of the house you can buy is determined by the average amount of active FC members.(active meaning they just log in once every 2 months) this would be to prevent a dieing FC with 1 member left from keeping a plot to himself, when an alive FC would love to have it.
instanced housing(on a plot of land in the environment of your choosing)
make people who are transferring to another plot go through the same process as people who are not transferring.(you camp a spot for 16 hours and someone walks up and takes it in a few seconds, are you kidding me?)
***not a solution but I thought this might be interesting***
create a legendary housing district for people who accomplish extremely difficult tasks in the game like top 10 pvp players in the server or those who clear the most difficult raids while having all jobs at max level whilst being the first to do so on their server, or art contest winners. things like that.

There's a big difference between the amount of accounts created and accounts that are actively played. This game doesn't have 14 million active accounts.
But your point still stands that with the current system there will never be enough plots. It's an unsustainable system.
