You can't "lock" something that doesn't exist.

It's almost as if genderlock means a playable race that only has one accessible sex/gender as an option and has nothing to do with whether assets for said missing gender do or do not exist yet.

Almost as if a race is LOCKED to one gender option.

But people keep talking about "removing" the lock, as if they've put it in place on purpose. They would, in fact, be adding something new. I would argue that "gender exclusive" is a far more accurate term for the new races.
