I am not sure if this poll has been filtered to account for unique submission. Therefore, poll cannot be accounted for unique submissions, but can in someways help see from within and outside of the forums that if a random group of people are polled, there exists demand to unlock the genders. Take into consideration a hefty margin of error of +/- ~7% in all categories ranging from in favor to strongly opposed to account for duplicates from any category.

It's been filtered, but the basis for that is having a Google account, I believe.

I think it doesn't matter too much, as the number of likes on the initial post and the poll in conjunction are reason enough, at least, for them to conduct further validation of the figures if they feel the need to, e.g. by running their own survey on the launcher/Lodestone/by email.

Margin of error means the error percentage of the results of our poll. In this instance 57% of our poll support no gender lock. That means the real population could be as low 50% support no gender lock to 64%. I'm not sure on confidence level but I know it is linked to margin of error so it might be the probability that the true percentage should be between 50% and 64%. Someone please correct if I an wrong. I believe deviation is what you use to determine the margine of error so in this care how much of the population is represented in the poll.

I actually am convinced that it is a majority who want genderlock removed. That being said I think SE might remove just one of he genderlocks instead of the two if they see how many more ppl seem to want male viera compared to fem hrotgar, so I think we should also go like the other thread ^^

well i think its more 60% don't care if they get in or not 30% want them in and 10% don't want them in because of the 30%.

I think it's 40% don't care 55% would be happier and 5% are against it based on what I've seen so far both in game and in social media. Also the fact that hrotgar are male only and they replace male viera makes a lot of ppl hate the race. I think there's less ppl that want hrotgar or are happy with hrotgar than ppl who want male viera

And that "don't care" group will diminish in size once something more concrete is on the table. As stated before, the main concern for SE is: Does a large enough group want this for it to impact our bottom line (whether through lost/gained subs, fantasia spending etc)?, and not what % of the playerbase wants this as a proportion of the whole in the abstract, since that's fairly moot. If enough people want Viera males in a way that increases their profitability, they have a good reason to move to add them.

I just realized something. This is actually the exact same thug that happened in 1.0. Ppl are mad at a lot of things (no healer, lots of ppl don't seem to like the shard things, whm said to be easier etc) and 2 races are genderlocked even being almost the exact same as previous (instead of cat ears bunny ears and green skin furry skin) so this makes me think that next expansion we will for sure get the other genders at some point(be it at launch or 99.0, most likely 5.1-5.3, but just guessing)

Well, that means that they will release more information. I don't think it's clever to get hopes too high, but who knows, we might actually get confirmation on how and when male viera will be released. Imagine if they release it at launch! That being said, I won't get my hopes too high, but there always is some hope

They won't add one gender. If they add Viera males they'll have to come along with a female gender be it Hrothgar or something else. I think the best one can hope for is they decide to add those for 6.0. Realistically I doubt they'd be able to do it anytime before then. They're not even done with female Viera and male Hrothgar given headgear won't be ready for launch.

I get your point, but what they could (and my guess is) do, is add the gender that has more demand (male viera, I belive) and then confirm that they will add female hrotgar later, so like male viera at 5.0-5.3 female hrotgar 5.3-5.4

I doubt it. They'll do both or none but you're dreaming if you think they'll add just one and not keep the genders balanced. i think realistically if they add them it'll be for 6.0.
