Female Hrothgar as a playable race. Show your support!

Because the demand is there and there's money to be made from fantasia. The time and costs of making female Roe has already probably paid for itself in people fantasia-ing to and from it already. It also adds more depth and variety to the world. Imagine walking around Limsa with no female roes. Would seem semi strange.

There's plenty of reasons to add them to the game, beyond just who plays one. Lastly, why again would you limit options people want. There already appears to be a fairly sizeable demand as it is currently. Yeah, it wont pay itself off over night, but given an xpac or so, it will.

OK, I played a gender locked Mithra in FFXI for almost a decade. (because the lore was like the viera for the males , they hide and don't come out) I wanted nothing more badly to play a male mithra. Well, fast forward some years later I actually got my wish with Male Miquote in 14, I immediately rolled one and much to the surprise of my dismay I did not like the end outcome of the gender role model. Posture emotes etc.. anyways that is neither here or now, but I can think that people just want what they cannot have.

Even if it would pay for itself in the long run, there are so many other issues that need to be addressed in game like: meaningful open world content, revamp pvp, and so much more, why would SE spin it's wheels just to appease a bunch of people acting like children throwing temper tantrums with mob mentality....

I played GW 2 for a few years and hardly saw any Charr Females, so the ones that posted their pics are obviously a minute minority. They should have not listened to the community with Viera... when I saw those threads years ago I would just roll my eyes.... They should have just made the beast race male and female, but there would still be butt hurt ppl.... cannot please everyone.

Why would they do this when very few % even play female Rogadyn?........ That would be a giant waste of time money and resources to make just so no one will pick that gender race combo, SE is way ahead of you guys already, community is in denial. They interject a little bit of locked testosterone in the game and everyone loses their minds.

(and yes I have rolled a female rog for one year) =P

Have to ask why make male Hrothgar then? the least played male race roe has a similar build to it, male Viera would most likely have been more popular based on how the devs envision them yet they decided to allocate those resources to a less popular choice. SE will do what SE do so saying its a waste is down to SE alone to decide if it actually is worthwhile

In this case they shouldnt of implement any race now and in future, just in hope we get more "meaningful content". Beside Eureka, 2 Ultimate battles, limited minigame Job BLU and various QoL updates happened while they created male Hrothgar and female Viera, and in fact there is a portion of players who enjoyed each of that content. Lets not act like resources will disappear into the nirvana when creating the opposite genders.

I supported the male Viera thread even though id never make one. TBH if they make female Hrothgar and they are beastly I don't think i could resist switching. I have wanted to play Viera since FFTA but a real beast women would make me forget that(or make an alt or something). Au Ra just don't really cut it and Roes just seem like they should be a body type for humans.

well when I was watching the Tokyo fan fest iirc, Yoshisan mentioned they wanted to inject some more sybols of Power, and Strength into the game. But what confuses me is why they broke FFXI lore in 14, but then did not break lore with viera, in that series, like they are cherry picking what lore to adhere to or not lol...

Chances are high that Hrothagar males came first, then they decided to bring female Viera with them instead of female Hrothgar - there's a Yoshida interview talking about how they were deciding between the females.
Knowing there's a much bigger demand (and by that time, expectation) for male Viera, they had to come up with a reason for their absence. I'm not saying they didn't believe in the lore reason at all, but they certainly failed to see the hypocrisy of it re: male Miqo'te (and the others, but male Miqo'te have similar lore which makes this sting all the more) because the decision to exclude male Viera was already made.
Granted, it's all speculation on my part.

I agree they shouldn't have created Viera before Ronso male and female, but it's a little late for that now, right? If they don't add the gender counterparts for Viera and Ronso things will feel a bit unfinished, especially when you see the rest of the races in the game.

Male Miqo'te weren't particularly what you were expecting, but they still remain a very popular choice for players.

Well Yoshi did mention that this would be the last race implemented in the game. (probably so they can work on new and old content that needs balancing and polish. Lets not act like resources are infinite...
