If I remember correcly, you can just transfert anyway (when you do the transferring, they will tell you that you own an appartment, and tell you that you will have a compensation of 500k + 500k for the furnishing you might have lost).

You will only get compensation for your apartment/estate if you are either moving to a New world (there are no new worlds at the moment) or transferring from a Congested world to a Preferred World.

I transferred this afternoon wilst my estate was still on and got a compensation. The world I went to wasn't perferred or anything, as far as I know. Maybe it's something special for the server split ? They did say people transferring would get compensation.
