The only thing that needs to be "locked" is these gender locking threads.
The FF14 team has a vision and a budget. Deal with this restriction and move on. I'd rather they spend the resources on getting the game-play, encounters, and content right.

This. Right here. Absolutely. I remember some threads being purged shortly after fanfest and mods should keep at it.

SE is not trying to silence people, forum mods are trying to get them to behave on a less toxic level.
