I'm not making assumptions, though. My first point is pointing out an objective downside to SE's design decisions with FFXIV; there's nothing really to debate there, and they'd admit it themselves. It's the price of doing business with such a strongly vertical approach to itemization. There are benefits, too - which they feel outweigh the downsides - but nonetheless, wasted effort is a clear side effect. My second point was expressing a very reasonable level of doubt about SE's ability to build a truly flexible and efficient graphics platform, which is not the same thing as making an assumption myself. My last line, admittedly, is a bit in the grey area, but that was more a summary than the main thrust of the item.

we need to understand something important, FF14 did come back from very far, they was expecting at best to get as much population than FF11 at his best.... means 500.000-600.000 people.... what did lead to the server trouble at the release.... without forget that they had promise to release the game on ps3, forcing them to create the game like it was created....I'm not making assumptions, though. do they can change stuff, yes they can, they have done it in the past, the trouble is do they will have the support of the company when the game is doing fine like this. ff14 is victim of his success and the fact that some people in SE company try to continue some license and do game far too big that are barely covering the cost (yes i look at you ff15 and kh3). we can argue about the fact that the game need change and they will argue back that they have too little people and cash for this, what is sadly right!
you do realize they wasn't able to add viera male and hrothgar female because it's too costly?
