That doesn't answer the question. If someone who pays the same sub you do cares about something, this doesn't affect you if they get it. What is your motivation for hoping they don't get what they want? Who's to say the things you care about matter as much to other people? Also, if mechanics and "function" are so important, should we completely reduce the graphics to nothing more than grey boxes moving on a flat plane? Or maybe we could do away with 3D altogether and go back to the days of text-based MMOs.

I came to express my support for male viera as well. Viera is a deeply adored race in the Final Fantasy franchise, thus the heavy demand for it in the first place. Locking such a race to a specific gender is not inclusive. (I feel the same about no females for the lion race) There is no real lore reason for them not to exist. They are confirmed to exist and just because they are few lore wise (like the Miquote) doesn't mean they should not be playable. Miquote was that way originally and earned its own backlash. To fall back on a policy that was praised upon its abolition is a step backwards.

Races and "looks" are IMMENSELY important to games and certainly for MMO's. Just like classes are! Very worth spending resources on! After all, isn't one of the very first things people ask when considering an MMO is "what can I play?".

We are a wide, wonderful and considerably diverse playerbase and if Square Enix continues making strides to give us just as diverse options? Then we'll only keep growing - as well their wallets!
