Male Viera as a playable character! show your support

Well, I don't ike to play females, so I won't play it without a male

well, trying to look on the bright side, you could catfish all the stupid boys as a female viera real easy. :v Im gonna try to find one that'll craft me endgame equipment so I don't have to spend millions of gil on it in the expansion.

I was seriously disappointed that there was a solo duty fight for one of my favourite frenemy antagonists, as opposed to a full on trial with an extreme mode... plus his portrayal, and also that of the other major plot point, suffered as a result. 4.5 part 1 ended on a pretty high note, but this felt very rushed by comparison. Perhaps moving to a 3 year cycle would work better, who knows. They certainly have their plate full, and I think Eureka has only piled more pressure on, even though it appears to be working out well for sub retention.

I believe part of the problem is that there's always the incentive to bundle big new features (such as character customisation or graphics upgrades) with the expansion, when they're already quite taxing in terms of new zones, quests, gear, etc.

One problem the Devs have is that when they do release something that even remotely works, Deep Dungeon, Eureka, umm... I'm sure there are other things. The Player base then expects that to become regular content every expansion. Which adds more and more work for the Devs each expansion, which they have kinda done to themselves. Giving them more time per expansion will eventually be necessary if they keep adding new content to the cycle.

I really wanted Male viera. I'm a huge Ivalice alliance fan and want to have my character represent my love for the Ivalice games. Plus fran's description of them makes them
Hyped me up alot. I love the concept art they mad and would like them to appear like they imagined them.

Agreed, and there is still further content expected, like another potential ultimate raid.

I would love nothing more than to play male Viera. The reveal didn't hinder my desire to play as there's still a lot more to the expansion than races, but it still upset me and disappointed me nonetheless. Still, I'm excited for Shadowbringers, but would also love to remove the genderlock from any and all races.

I have confidence that we'll at least break 1500 likes(that will be so awesome), the question though is will it reach the devs enough to give a certain answer to those 1500 likes?

1500 out of how many active players tho... not rain on anyone's parade as I support unlocking the races but... that doesn't seem like a lot.

for the amount of active players its tiny barely a blip for the forums its the biggest amount we have ever had so if they use it as a sample size of the player base by comparing active forum accounts to likes then they can do a rough guess on how well it be recieved to the silent majority.

1500 likes, after a week in the forums. And that's not counting all the other conversations being held outside the forums, the articles it spawned, everyone giving comments on why this decision doesn't sit well with them. If the devs are looking for feedback, they are going to look at the forums. This thread caught on like wildfire , and a lot of eyes are looking for a response, a straight response, With no more fanfests to put this off.
