Have to blame moderation which is next to non existent on this forum.

A lot of this could have been avoided if the mods made an official thread to speak about it.

For example, in WoW when there was the big controversy over classic WoW and private servers they made an official thread. And all posts regarding the subject were to be posted there. If they weren't, they would just be deleted.

There's too much bloat, everyone makes their own threads and then they die off, and their voices go unheard.

But if there was one massive thread, then everyone could be heard since its confined to one thread.

Couldn't agree more with your last two bits. I've seen this kinda thing in forums for other games as well. Usually popular requests get filtered to one thread. Don't know much about how Square Enix etc. usually handle this sorta stuff but it would've been a lot easier had a designated thread been made.

I don't know it anyone responded, but the Devs/Mods *have* created mega-threads for certain things before when the forums were getting too much. I remember the 2.55 patch getting one, because, well...Yeah, the fanbase just about exploded over that one and needed a safe area to discuss spoilers, and when they announced just how the Lilies would work for WHM, the healer forums (I think. It probably spread to GD) erupted in confusion and anger over it, forcing mods to cull everything into one thread, which as far as I can tell didn't actually change anything?
