But did he - Yoshida - said it was about the lore ? I did not see that anywhere. I believe people defending the absence of male vieras were using the lore as justification, not Yoshida.

Plus, it as been explained in his interview with Mr. Happy recently why they did not implement male viera and female hrothgar - perhaps, 'yet'.
Let's just wait for an official statement, as I believe they will write one on the forums when they will be up to date with the feedback

Also, back in 2013 he also said that "bunny male running around can be weird", which was maybe he's personal opinion which he usually do not use when it's about final decisions (we do have bunny suits after all just for example). Also as it goes from his words about male dancers (other interview) he is, personally, most likely is not really against of idea to create male Vieras.
And yes, it's obvious that we should wait their official announcement for knowing if it will "yes" or "no".

I want bunny boys! What's lore mean when we flying around in cars on our phones? Also it's not like they seem to be keeping the vierra heels anyways which are lore....

Ideally I'd love the two clans to be smol bunny boy vs tall and muscled bunny boy kinda like hyurs for the best of both worlds but if we can't have both at least have small bunny boys to balance out the extreme dimorphism in au ra.

Keep in mind they kept putting off telling us about male viera in the first place, this seems like more of the same tactics, trying to retain subscriptions while not actually doing anything.

While I understand the wants to be small and slender - I hope they have a scale for this - but this would require them to do a lot more work than just rehashing the elezen/hyur model like they did with the females. That and the whole massive dimorphism with the female au'ra to me was a mistake - I'd rather not have it repeated. Especially not for a race that has been desired for a very long time. Smaller than females, yes - to the point they're under 5ft - I'd rather not.

They were so heavily praised for un-genderlocking the races in 2.0 so I'm shocked they did it again. And their excuses seem pretty poor to me. I think they just wanted to be able to say they had 2 races as a big selling point. I'm sad and I do hope they reconsider but I won't be dropping my sub over it.

At any rate, I'll still voice my support.

yea, it is funny how it is pretty much the exact same situation with the races. Hrothgar are this big, strong race like the Roegadyn were and Viera are basically bunny flavored Hyur like Miqote were cat flavored Hyur. :v

I can understand how taxing is to create a new race but please if you can in the future make male viera it would be totallt amazing. I support this thread.
