A little thanks amidst the howling

I just want to give a shout out to the devs for all their hard work. Especially admist all the negative reviews going on about the races and dancer. You guys put up with so much, and I don't envy you what's going on currently one bit.

I have personally enjoyed this game thoroughly since I started playing way back in the 2.0 early access. I have had my moments of frustration, I won't lie, but overall they were minor issues. I haven't lapsed on my subscription yet, and I don't intend to any time soon.

I'm greatly looking forward to Shadowbringers, and while I have no intention of switching from my catgirl to one of the new races, I'm also excited about Dancer and Gunbringer and can't wait to see how they play. I've wanted to expand my jobs from melee dps for a while, but I never quite clicked with casters, healers, tanks, or ranged. So I'm excited. I'm dying already for the May live letter because I want details on things now (I'm impatient I admit it), and I'm generally looking forward to all the things.

So please remember as you sift through all the rage and salt I've seen everywhere since fanfest, that you've also got a large number of us that are totally chill about the races, are happy with the new jobs, get your reasons for making them, and really looking forward to what you've spent so much time, effort, and energy on in general.

Want to second this. I truly believe they're working hard at SE and and there is a lot to look forward to in Shadowbringers regardless of the races or dancer. I'm honestly really excited for it, and I'm sure that the things people are worried about will get addressed down the line.

Yeah. I may disagree with their decisions. (I'd rather have had one full race instead of two halves, and would have rather gotten another healer than another dps.)

But I don't think SE are being lazy. I just disagree with those decisions. The last thing I would accuse them of is being lazy. I may at times be disapointed or disagree with certain things they do. But I still all in all really like the game, and don't think the things I disagree with are done out of lazyness or malice etc.

I may have preferred a new healer, but dancer does lok fun and has a unique weapon type that will be a nice addition to the game. And it is nice to have a third job in the ranged physical sub role. Both of the new jobs look interesting though of course I'll need to actually play them to form a solid opinion of them.

Going to the First and seeing similar but different sights makes me think of Warlords of Draenor, but a couple things about this expansion make me hopefully this will be better executed than WOD was. For one thing they're able to go full ham with the alternate universe approach where as WoW had a time travel element and they couldn't go 'too' crazy with it because it had to had some basis in WoW's lore even if it wasn't a 100% accurate timeline to the main one. I feel like this will also have a better connection to the main story than 'lol a time dragon sent Garrosh into the past now go fight another evil version of the horde that isn't old yet.'

I'm all around feeling positive going into ShB despite some of my misgivings with SB's msq and and the genderlocked races. I may take issue with some specific aspects of the game on the whole I still really like it.

Yeah, cheers to the devs. I can understand having to cut things during a development cycle since I'm a developer as well. Looking forward to everything that are coming in this expansion!

Yes, we do support the devs despite the toxic posters complaining about other people’s rights to give feedback. It truly is good to see that SE apparently is listening to civil feedback and reconsidering its bad choices (that it already corrected in the past!).

I’m still looking forward to ShB, and hoping they work hard to include both genders for Viera and Hrothgar when possible, despite toxic sections of the community’s hatred of other people’s choices.

I second this wholeheartedly People can agree or disagree with some decisions of course, but we can't deny the work that's being put in the game.

Second this, the complaining is getting super old. While it wouldn't be good for the game, I hope half of these people go away.
