I agree. People should be seriously ashamed of themselves for trying to use sexism and lgbtq and villainizing the dev team as a means to get what they want. Pathetic sociopathic narcissists.

And lore was still right. But at the time the game was under duress and had to make changes to please the masses.
Looking for RP on the First!
This is a case of throwing around buzz words to try and have a "gotcha!" moment. I feel it's the same with the "it's the lore, so checkmate" argument. It's just another "gotcha!" attempt.
I disagree with you. A lot of men and woman feel personally attacked right now, and I can understand why. Gender norms are a hot button issue right now, because everyone is sick of being stereotyped. Its only natural that our society is reevaluating them right now after all the stuff men and women have been through.Or they are sticking to their lore. Whether I agree with that decision or not is a whole other thing. Nothing about this is sexist though. Not a darn thing. Like I said in another thread...people need to stop throwing this word around freely. If anything it makes people not take others seriously. Playing different races which have different playable genders in a video game is not the same as true sexism in real life.
EVERYTHING can be turned into something sexist, and I literally mean EVERYTHING. People need to calm the bloody hell down. If people were being properly constructive about this, and not throwing out insults at people who are/aren't ok with the genderlocks, as well as SE, and properly put their energy into making something constructive that people could agree on, then I'd be all game for it.The definition of sexism is anything that limits, or restricts a gender on the basis of gender roles.
Not letting us play female Hrothgar because they stay at home to protect the children is sexist.
Not letting us play male Viera because they are out in the woods doing stereotypical man stuff is sexist.
But with how people are acting like 2 year olds that had candy taken from them, WHEN THEY DIDN'T EVEN GET SAID CANDY YET, is a huge over reaction on all parts, and it's getting really old really damn fast.
Please show support for chocobo boots to be added -> http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/323512-Suggestion-for-an-item-to-be-added-to-gold-saucer-Chocobo-Boots
Unhappy with how they implemented Mahjong? -> http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/381358-Mahjong-is-the-most-depressing-mini-game-you-ve-added-to-XIV
You may disagree with me, that's fine. But you and many others are using the wrong agenda in the worst way to get what you want here and expect to be taken seriously.I disagree with you. Please show me the quote from Yoshi P or anyone else from the dev team stating this exactly, because far as anyone knows it could just come down to a time constraint. The definition of sexism is anything that limits, or restricts a gender on the basis of gender roles.

I like how this quote is irreverent but matter to you because you can't play your shirtless bunny boi. It isn't limiting what they can be and we don't know what Hrothgar females do yet but your defining of why is sexist. The definition of sexism is anything that limits, or restricts a gender on the basis of gender roles.

You just literally made something up so you can be offended by it.
