You're right, it DID reveal the worse.

It revealed that there's people like you OP and the people that have agreed with you. It revealed that there's people so insane, so deluded that they're willing to shout "homophobia" and "misandry" when things don't go their way. It revealed there's people that are willing to HARASS these developers because they didn't confirm their own theories. Knowing that so many of you showed your true colors makes me sick.

Which didn't exactly say that the male Viera were going to be created...just that they weren't revealing their whole hand at the time that statement was made...so people drawing conclusions from incomplete data is the cause of all this...whatever you want to call it(rioting/anger/hysteria/etc)

For the first time since playing this game for five years, the amount of immaturity going on and players trying to spin something that never even was political as a political social soap opera, it actually made me embarrassed to be part of the community.

I also have a friend that was excited to try out the bunny man cause cool something different that they could dress up in nice glam. A favorite of theirs is full plate armour. The idea of a bunny man in a suit was brought up in our conversations about it. Would have been cool. They now belive the fan service gender won out and the typical guys have to be big and buff also won out. The potential was so high for one race with both genders i do agree they didnt need to add. Nice they vaguely listened to players.

As long as they don’t add gender locked classes like certain other mmo’s do, I don’t really mind. I will say, as I’ve mentioned before, that the gender locked races is not something I would have ever expected. After all the hype and build up from the last two fan fests, they really ended them on a mediocre note.

I don't think its possible in this game's system to gender lock a class. The battle/armory system is rigid, if a weapon fits in the slot then a job/class is good to go and technically the only thing needed. (That and the job stones as classes are meaningless for the future jobs).

while i was a little disappointed design wise of the hrothgar, (holding final judgement once i get my hands on the benchmark) i do think the overwhelmingly negative vocal reaction has gone beyond basic criticising, to the point of screaming into the abyss, if we had one thread for this and did what the other forms are we may get acknowledged instead of having about 60 odd threads saying the same thing.

i hold out that by 6.0 male viara and female hrothgar may be a thing or lupin as a playable race, if neither of those happen i am still gonna play the game.

and with the dancer as dps flailing going on, i bet once people have there hands on the job we will see threads saying how much the same people who complained love it. the main flailing is coming from people believing in a leak (which will never be 100% accurate) or believing in there own thoughts of the job, for all we know dancer may have a weak but party wide 'vercure' like spell until we play it we know nothing of how or what dancer will do.

and before any 'white knight' comments or anything of the like, i aint saying not to criticise them, by all means go ahead, but the screaming into abyss approach hasn't gotten us anywhere on this forums, and most likely won't get us anywhere, while a more orderly and less screeching way, might get some attention.

Someone who disagrees with you is not automatically a "white knight". By the way, insulting and generalizing someone as a white knight (I don't know if people even understand the meaning of the term anymore) is just as bad as telling someone they're whining or throwing a tantrum because of genderlock.

You have your opinion, others have theirs. It just so happens that I and others agree with SE's decision to genderlock Viera. You don't. But me not agreeing with you doesn't make my opinion on the matter invalid.
