I mean, yeah - just like Battlefield 5 said "Don't like it? Don't buy it"
Could always just, you know, unsub and let them know why you did so, instead of throwing tantrum with threats. At least World of Warcraft offered text-field to write reason why you are leaving, not sure about FFXIV since I've never unsub'd. Alternatively have ONE thread about said topic, we don't need 17843943 topics of repeat.
When I see game that I don't enjoy, I either quit if I'm already playing, or don't buy it in first place. Money tends to speak louder than couple angry tweets in wind.
...How is that hostile?
He just said " This sucks, kinda doesn't interest me anymore"
Fun fact actually it doesn't. If you complain and stop spending money or complain it communicates to the developers your issues. If you just stop spending money, especially to devs in other countries... it could mean anything to them. It could mean people just don't like mmo's and square stops making em.I mean, yeah - just like Battlefield 5 said "Don't like it? Don't buy it"

So uh yeah
I’m not insulting anyone, if anything I’ve seen lots insults coming from the unsub crowd calling the devs names like sexist, idiots, homophobic, etc. YouTube commenter level of toxicity isn’t going to get people what they want.
Well, like I said - those usually offer text-fields to explain your reasons.Fun fact actually it doesn't. The point of the temper tantrums is to let the devs know that people are indeed unhappy and would like to see this stuff changed rather than stop playing a game they might've enjoyed a lot otherwise.I mean, yeah - just like Battlefield 5 said "Don't like it? Don't buy it"

Unfortunately the devs have proven that with these kinds of decisions the only way you can even get them to notice the problems the community has with them is to throw a continuous temper tantrum, otherwise it's probably just a vocal minority who can never be pleased right? :^)
I can understand why people are upset. And it’s valid, you wanted something and were looking forward to it and it didn’t come through, we all feel that sometimes, it’s ok. I would definitely agree I would prefer not to have gender-locked races.
But I guess personally I would play female viera anyway, although it would be cool to see some buff Hrothgar females. So idk maybe one day they’ll add the opposing genders? Idk likely no but who knows, we never expected to get 2 races tho yea?
I also understand their argument of, we wanted to create more races so we had to scarifice this other thing. It’s like you can’t win either way, if we got male viera we wouldn’t be getting hrothgar and the people who like hrothgar would be upset. But then again we were expecting male viera so the disappointment is stronger there.
So idk, I’m sry you are un-subbing, I won’t shame anyone for that, it’s a tricky situation and lots of excitement and disappointment all around. The light and darkness, and if we have found anything out about the story the balance is good! Lol...

Is moonlight without dark"
I can promise you tantrums aren’t going to have the effect you desire, if you present your grivneces in a calm cilvilized mater then yeah that might get some consideration. A tantrum however is just going to make people go “okay wow this person is crazy” and make any legimate point you might make invalid because you won’t be taken seriously. The point of the temper tantrums is to let the devs know that people are indeed unhappy and would like to see this stuff changed rather than stop playing a game they might've enjoyed a lot otherwise.

Part of me agrees with you, they could've used the resources they had for Hrothgar to implement the dev time for male Viera. On the same token, though, you had people who were very vocal about how frustrated they were that they were sick of "Hyur with X trait". Parts of me would even agree that due to the genderlock the races feel incomplete, but this is the result of what happens when you try to please everyone while you have a deadline to keep. Something's gotta give and they didn't have to add anything new to this expansion--especially considering one of the laments of the dev team was what to do with the Viera feet. Some are putting some overdaramatic into it, but not all. ^^
But there is a reason why some react the way, the react.
Because like some said. On the one side the Devs said "We did not had free Ressources for male Viera.", but on the other Hand, they had Ressources for a complete different Race.
Some react to this, because of SE and the Devs constantly saying that the Game grows and they have more Money for more Content, but then they always mention ressource Limits.
They put more Cosmetics into the Mog Station and less into Events, but it feels like they now work on a even smaller Budget.
Would you rather:
A) Have the release date for Shadowbringers pushed back so that Male Viera and Female Hrothgar be added into the game?
-OR-
B) Take what you can get and allow Shadowbringers to drop the date it was announced to be released?
Damned if you do, damned if you don't, when you really think about it. People are starving for content already and a good chunk of the playerbase doesn't care about small cosmetic additions in regards to race. It doesn't really add that much value to gameplay in a general sense anyway. It is nice to have, don't get me wrong.
