Gender locked race?

While I pretty much got everything I wanted (viera, dancer) from all of this, I am very disappointed that FF14 did what I hoped they wouldn't - have genderlocked races.

I hated it in other MMOs like BDO and Tera, and hoped that the game would understand how much people did NOT like this idea. Give us choices, not restrictions.

1.0 didn't fail because because of gender locked races. It failed because it was bad.

Never said it failed for that reason. It was a factor in people being unhappy though, and those things added up to the game not doing well.

Now we don't have all the other bad things to focus on, so the gender locking is going to become a bigger spot light issue people are going to be upset about.

I find it a bit funny that they are called Ronso in the first shard even tho Ronso had females too.

DNC was the highlight for me, but I was hoping to hear there would be another job as a healer to compensate.

Yeah I was surprised DNC ended up being a DPS.
I main DPS but I'm a bit disappointed for those who main heal.

I didn't think healer was a good fit unless they could innovate with a combo-based system.

Male Viera needs to be added. The Hrothgar are just as dumb looking as I expected them to be. They literally just slapped some fur and a lion head on a Roegadyn body and called it Hrothgar. It's one of the laziest characters designs I've seen in this game yet. Male Viera would have actually added something interesting and different to the game. :/
