Gender locked race?

Gender locking the races just seems like such a poor, lazy business choice.

Didn't they try that in 1.0, and it didn't exactly go well? Why repeat mistakes of the past? Lore or not, it's such a poor move.

1.0 didn't fail because because of gender locked races. It failed because it was bad.
