I just witnessed the quickest GM action ever. (Only a few would know what happened)






I think it's just their policy, and it makes the thread neater - when everyone doesn't turn to discussing the post that was supposed to vanish without a trace, anyway.
It's kind of odd to read through a discussion (that you weren't participating in as it formed) and read a direct response to a post that no longer exists.



Yeah that was like lightning omg. I saw the link and reply but didn't click through. Seemed like a "don't touch the poop" situation.
Kind of interesting though because it makes me think the GMs really are keeping an eye on threads even if they don't comment. So when people worry, there's some reason to think they're aware of that along with why. GMs have to do their job and enforce obvious rules of course, but they're not jumping into regular squabbles or escalating fears.
There are sites where company/consumer relations are basically a war zone. If this happened on one of them I'd be alarmed and take it more as "big brother is watching". Here though it makes me think knowing how players feel and not going out of the way to upset us matters to them, which is more reassuring imo. Maybe I'll change my mind but I'd rather give benefit of the doubt in this case. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
