That's a negative from me. I haven't touched it since Week 3 of release when I was still attempting to get primal skills.

Since I'm not playing around with it, I'll say that I'm probably not enjoying it as a limited job. It doesn't have staying power.

I'd probably play BLU more if I could take it into Duty Finder like any other job. It would be something I could flex when I got tired of playing a healer.

They need to do something to increase its staying power. Masked Carnivale doesn't seem to be enough, especially since the rewards are a bit meh, in my opinion - I can easily find other sources for Poetics and I don't need Allied Seals.

I don't see any in the open world hardly; I don't particularly look for BLU parties when I'm in PF.

No, I think they could have made it an actual job while still finding a way to keep that "BLU feel" with learning its spells. They would have had to put in restrictions of some sort to make sure level 50 (or 60 or 70) BLUs were queuing into level 50/60/70 content with a decent repertoire of skills, but at least I'd probably see them around a bit more.

I'd much, MUCH rather than instead of locking BLU spells behind instances like dungeons and trials, they were tied to FATEs, amplifying that open world context and doubling down on that identity.

That still leaves its longevity or rather the lack of. So instead of spamming Primals and Dungeons you would eventually recreate the full Eureka experience in the Overworld with people AFKing for FATEs to get a spell. After that what then? Finished Masked Carnivale and get left with nothing worthwhile on BLU.

Well, this is the core problem of BLU isn't it.

Whatever your feelings on Eureka, you finish the grind and you get a usable weapon out of it.
Whatever your feelings on BLU, as things stand you never get a proper usable job out of it.

Those two are actually perfect counter-examples. Part of BLU's lack of staying power is the complete lack of awards locked behind it, an intentional design decision by the dev team. They wanted only BLU enthusiasts to level it, or something, ignoring in the process even the most die-hard BLU fan would eventually run out of content. I mean, even people who raid and level and gear everything can unsub until the next patch, what were they expecting would happen with BLU?
Meanwhile, for all their talks of not expecting Eureka to be that popular, they sure went out of their way to put as many carrots as possible behind it. First and foremost of course is the relic weapon, but there's also a bunch of minions and mounts and glamours and housing items. Then, on top of that, while RNG can be horribly cruel to you in Eureka, there are ways to get around it (if you have the gil) and to my understanding, some sort of fail-safe mechanism regarding the weapon rolls (though the stats you want might not be there, the rolls themselves won't go lower? Something like that).
These are two elements that are crucial to make people slug through Eureka, and even then a lot of people didn't bother or quit along the way.
    Both are missing from BLU.

blu has not enough reason to keep playing it. Eureka has a lot of reason to keep playing it. But it makes sense eureka is designed as a place to play your level 70 class and continue to progress.

they need to give blu a reason to actually play the class more, and more places to play the class. That said, they do need to make it somehow not exactly required. Blu needs a eureka like content. (in that eureka is an optional grind that allows you to gain limited power while playing fully powered class with medium term goals)

Eureka would actually be a good place for BLU instead of what either of those things are now.
