Feedback on what housing has become

You should always have a house to come to after taking a break, like any other normal casual game.

What other normal casual games with housing would those be and why would you expect a MMORPG to be like them?

You have a place to come back to after taking a break if you want. It's called an apartment. They've been part of the game for 2 years now (since patch 3.4). It is the casual form of housing. Owning a house in a ward is the end game form of housing. It's not going to be right for every player anymore than Savage raiding is.
