The Switch isn't that all powerful though, it's power is similar to last gen (PS3/Xbox 360) consoles.Nintendo would have to opt in for a power house console,to go up against Sony and Microsoft.
They were on the right track with the Nintendo switch its just seems though they are just getting into the online scene practice makes perfect and when they perfect that then we'll probably see them catch up.
One of the reasons Square dropped PS3 support was to remove PS3 limitations.
Letter from the Producer LIVE Part IX Q&A Summary (10/30/2013)
Q: Will there be any maintenance fees or other costs for housing, besides the cost of the land and house?
A: In older MMOs, such as Ultima Online, there was a house maintenance fee you had to pay weekly, but in FFXIV: ARR we decided against this system. Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.

Okay, so basically need to to tell Nintendo needs to make a more powerful Nintendo Switch that can handle FF14... Do you think that if we bug Nintendo enough about it they'll actually make it happen?
